Hii~ Welcome to my art blog!!

☆ My name is Buttery and i'm a 24yo small artist and ♡psychology♡ college student. ☆

I love my ocs so that's what i tend to draw the most. I have my own worlds with lore and stuff but it's not ready to be shared yet.

-> My art is mostly inspired by my own dreams and visions, lived experience with ableism and trauma, imagination, special interest (typology) and media i like.

Mind you, i use very high contrast color palettes (tw eyestrain) so careful with that.

-> This is the redesign of an old now deoncelerized oc, i haven't found a good (new) name for him yet but i love the result look <3 he's also a magical girl boy btw

-> It's name is "Huevo" and it's very loosely based on my oldest childhood fav plush. Runny egg + flowers and spring lion creature i was getting a bit tired of only having human ocs so yeah

Did you know April is autism awareness acceptance month?

I drew this as a (very silly) small gift to myself because in the 15th of April from 2 years ago i received my ASD diagnosis.

Some day i'll write more in depth about what this means to me but yes i am very happy to be able to fully understand myself and to also know having different needs are not me being "weak" or whatever bs they wrongly taught me as a child.

I'm having a blast using more bolder neon color palettes as i was getting tired of pastels and needed a change, also idk i just really like how my art looks now even if it looks "childish" or whatever i don't care. I love fun colors and funky designs so...

I made a toyhouse profile just for her as i really want to start filling it with my ocs for once XD the thing is i'm busy af with college right now and i barely have time to draw and focus on my ocs and it's very stressful.

Once i'm done with exams i'll continue fixing up all this mess i have with my ocs.

2025 ☆ Yearly art reflection bellow the cut ↴

I’m not very sentimental nor i like being cheesy in general but i saw other people doing this so…

-> I'm very happy with my art right now. Even though i know it’s not the best and have lots of room for improvement, ever since i ditched the “git gud” mentality (as due to disability i’ve had to forget about my dream of working on animation for a while) i've started to actually love what i do and it does feel much more authentic.

The thing is that i’ve changed so much during these last years i do not recognize myself anymore and i think my art does kinda reflects this? After graduating art trade school i fell into this now +3 years long autistic burnout and had to adapt myself to it. I’m slowly getting better with time and in 2025 i even started college something no adult ever thought i would be able to do but yeah, i basically had to learn how to draw on a way it didn’t leave me exhausted or frustrated + also being practical enough for my comics and other projects. That's why i keep experimenting so much i guess, as a way to find the most comfortable techniques and mediums for me. Yes those traditional art collages i've been making lately are very fun to make so i will keep doing them XD i think traditional art/crafts are extremely important right now due to generative AI but that's a talk for another day.

Anyways during 2025 i also took up web creation with html and even tried to tinker with a freshly booted Linux Mint old laptop (still trying to understand how it works lol), i really liked it so for 2026 i wish to learn coding for video games and other IT stuff as it seems fun. 

Ofc there’s other stuff that happened i won’t tell for privacy reasons but still, 2025 wasn’t that bad for me personally and i hope i can do more this year as i continue to get better.

-> I finally drew this tv mofo after literal months of saying i would LMAO i mean, i did try to draw him on paper but since i drew without a reference he ended up looking SO BAD😭

Anyways this time i used the ref sheet from one of toby's newsletters and he looks so much better now (i will still try to draw him digitally... maybe au versions i like)
