Weekly Update June 19, 2026
Ughhhh well I don’t think I’m meeting all my deadlines before surgery, but I still got close! As a recap for anyone who doesn’t read all these updates, I am getting surgery next week on Tuesday morning, which will take me out of commission for a while. Regardless, I still did get quite a bit done this week. Let’s go over everything!
Music: BWY comes out tomorrow! Unfortunately I didn’t like the way my smack studio work was going, so rather than throwing out a janky, unpolished music video, I threw together a quick lyric video. I don’t have patience for after effects this week so it was flash and premiere only, but it came out pretty nice for how quick it was!
Unfortunately the *remixes* I put myself on the July deadline for didn’t all get done, although I can still finish them by the actual deadline I had set for releasing them. LT needs vocals, and due to unforeseen circumstances, one more song will probably need to be added to that list. Current contenders are either finishing DMRD, or more likely finishing DH, a far less finished electro swing piece that’s been rotting on my hard drive since December. Those were comparatively low priorities anyway, since I should be able to work on them next week during surgery recovery. While I can’t draw, I should be able to work on music with mouse and keyboard. Except the last parts of vocal tuning, but still most of it.
Comic: okay so by my math we are 90% done with episode 2! I might not be quite meeting the June deadline I thought I would be, but I can still aim for early July. I have other commitments this weekend so it’s unlikely I’ll be making much progress until at least week 2 of surgery recovery, but I will be doing everything in my power.
TTRPG stuff is going to take a little bit of crunching the last little details but it should be good to run by my self imposed deadline. Now that most of that is done, it shouldn’t be hard to covert the rest into a pre-written adventure like I wanted.
This is usually the part where I talk about my plan for the next week, but I won’t be doing much due to surgery! I think the main thing you can expect from me would be tweaking my artfight descriptions and adding on Ethel, the new character for this year. She’ll probably be temporary, gone next year, but I hope you enjoy her regardless! I hope you enjoy the song I’m putting out tomorrow, it might not seem like it but it’s actually very personal, and I did tear up a bit while writing it. I hope you all enjoy!
