Braxton had the look that clearly said ‘I have no idea what you mean.” While he knew he had enemies, he believed he was generally liked ... enough to have a few favours.
“Aw, Iz. You’d never cramp my style.” He laughed as he hugged both kids close to him before getting up from the coach. “Kimi here might like storytime but it looks like her sister is about to fall asleep. Am I that boring?” Brax asked the kid as if she could answer him instead of struggling to stay awake at the moment. “Nap time? It looks like nap time.” @braxtonthebeta
---------- There was just something so warm, and endearing about seeing how naturally Brax had taken to interacting with her girls. It wasn’t that she had ever doubted they’d get on well, after all, Brax had a knack for getting on well with kids. But to see him, so easily read the girls and so readily be willing to help with something as mundane as nap time...it was on a another level. She stood up and took Tilly from him. “I think you’ve once again managed to tire them out to the point where nap time actually gets to live up to its name, and doesn’t become ‘wrestle time’ instead.” Izzy led them to the girl’s cribs, already feeling Tilly’s weight change as she began to drift off in her arms. “I might just have to have come home for lunch more often.”
