“shit,” he muttered as he looked at the current supplies in the medical tent. something about how resources seemed to be so scarce lately made things so difficult of course. it wasn’t just difficult though, it was unfair. unfair to the medics, and unfair to the residents of the camp. he looked to the nearest person, sighing with sadness and shaking his head of disappointment. this person may have understood his frustrations, but others may not. all he needed was someone to vent to. “whoever is on this resources team needs to work a little harder. we’re almost out of gauze, band aids, tape, all of the necessary supplies to save lives here!”
With a soft smile and understanding eyes, he listened to the other’s troubles. There was nothing he could do to reassure him, no words he could say that would make the situation any less stressed. In the world they lived in now, there were no guarantees. “Tell me about it. We’re real low on everything too.” When everything was considered, the small burn on his hand seemed fairly inconsequential. No need to waste limited resources on something that would heal by itself anyway. “I really do hope they find more supplies for you. And for us. We all could use the good news and something more to work with.”
