Jaehyun: I feel this pressure that I have to always look perfect.

I just want to shed some light on how Jaehyun feels since I haven’t seen anyone post about this.

This was his response to someone asking what he’d been thinking about lately. Now, mind you there’s a lot of cuts in this video because Jaehyun was pausing a lot in between words and I just wanted to make it shorter.

But those short pauses he was making was because of how nervous he was opening up to us about his thoughts and feelings.

[EDIT] i just want to emphasize just how nervous he was, he couldn’t look straight into the camera when he was carefully trying to think of the right words to say. he was very much hesitant at the beggining of the vlive when he almost talked about it. pls let it be a normal thing for idols to feel comfortable about letting us know what’s up without them feeling like the world will turn against them if they’re too honest.

Before the question was asked, he was going to talk about what he’d been thinking lately but instead stopped himself and said ‘I don’t wanna say it because it’s too serious’. Do you understand how much effort it would have taken him to be open with us? He didn’t want to make the Vlive too serious, but when someone asked him again he opened up and told us what’s been on his mind.

Can we all collectively agree to pls enjoy and appreciate the talent, effort and hardwork that Jaehyun puts into the things he creates without making it all about his looks. He’s more than just a pretty face.

I don’t want him to feel pressure into thinking he has to be perfect. But I also understand that he’s created his own meaning of perfect for himself to be happier. That his perfect means to put in 100% effort, diligence and love into his job so that he’s happy with the outcome. He wants us to know he enjoys what he does, so let’s not take that for granted by focusing on his looks. Let’s also praise him for his hardwork. 🥺
