Noah watched from VIP, his arms dangling over the bannister as his friends sat behind him drinking the night away, chatting away and having a good time. He would join them but he had something more important to do that night. He narrowed his eyes as he scoped every curly haired girl in the club, but then shook his head because you could’ve switched up your hair in the past 3 hours since he’s seen you. You were the type to play any and every play possible to win a bet, but Noah was determined to win this bet.
“You think I’d be easy to find?” You questioned, smirking slightly over your red solo cup. You currently sat on the kitchen counter top inside your shared apartment with your best friend. She’d recently met a guy at a coffee shop and hit it off nicely so now him and his extremely attractive friend were hanging out in your kitchen as you made cupcakes at 2am. The boy -- Noah -- grinned and swiped his finger through the cake batter before popping it into his mouth, your eyes watching as he sucked it clean and quickly blinked away.
Smirking watching your reaction, “A girl that looks like you? I’d find you in a heartbeat.”
Your best friend raised her eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips, “Care to make a bet?” she interjected.
Your head immediately snapped to hers knowing where she was going with this. You’d never been one to turn down a dare. Always up for a challenge, always up to win. Noah looked at you questioningly, “I’m down...if you are” he let the question linger in the air. Your best friend grinned amused, already knowing the answer and waiting to watch everything unfold before her.
You nodded, “Then we’ll make this simple,” you said nonchalantly, ignoring the hammering in your chest and the small butterflies in your stomach as you felt his intense stare. You’d just met the man and already he had you imagining those same eyes positioned between your legs as he watched you come undone..
You blinked and cleared your throat slightly, “All of us go out...to a club or something -- I don’t care, you can pick but I don’t ride with you guys. I’ll come separately and if you can find me before the clock strikes 3am you win. If not....” you trailed off shrugging.
Noah grinned suddenly excited, “Okay and how do I know you’ll actually show up? Not to be that guy but i barely know you, Y/N you could lie to win.” He knew you wouldn’t but he really liked teasing you. Your face was an open book for your emotions and each one was different than the last. He loved watching you react to every little thing, it was the most adorable and entertaining thing for him.
Noah watched your face scrunch in disgust but you nodded anyway, “Okay, then the two of us,” you signaled to you and your best friend, “will arrive together, she’ll come to find you guys to confirm that I’m in fact there and all thats left is for you to find me...think you can handle it?” you challenged, a small playful smirk playing on your lips.
Noah nodded in agreement, a smirk of his own playing on his lips, “And what do I get when I when?” He stated confidently, causing you to roll your eyes.
“If,” you corrected, rolling your eyes. There was no way you were losing, “What do you want?” You questioned, taking another sip of your drink.
“You” He stated, his eyes never leaving yours. You choked on your drink, dropping the red solo cup in the process.
“Excuse me?” you coughed, watching him for any sign that he was joking. There was none. He was completely serious as he watched you, his eyes burning as if challenging you to oppose what he’d put out on the table. You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand before wiping it on your shorts. You nodded slowly, “Okay...” you whispered, creating every single pair of eyes in the kitchen to stare at you in surprise.
Your best friend grinned, “Oh man, this is going to be interesting.”
Noah’s head turned in the direction his name was being called only to see your best friend running up to VIP. Jack quickly stood up and met her half way as the two of them walked towards the balcony where Noah stood. She smiled and nodded down to the crowd, “She’s here. Think you can find her?”
Noah nodded and smirked, “I know I can.”
She smirked, “She doesn’t look the same when she goes out...almost like she transforms. The girl you think you’re looking for isn’t the one that’s down there.” She set her hands up in a surrender position, that devious smirk never leaving her lips. She enjoyed this, so so so very much. “That’s all the advice I can give you. Good luck.”
Noah snorted and thanked her before turning back to the crowd. It’d already been hard to make out anyone with all the movement and dancing. He’d remembered your curls and how they’d sat on top of your head so that’s what he’d kept an eye out for, but now he was told that you might not be what he’s looking for.
He couldn’t understand how your best friend’s advice was helpful. All she did was make his search even harder and he was already losing time. Noah looked down at his apple watch, the time reading 2:30. Groaning, he lifted his head and continued his search. Noah looked through the club absolutely packed with people, trying to remember every single one of your features and looking for similarities in the people down there only to come up short. No one was standing out, everyone was blending in and he was starting to lose hope.
Until he watched a figure expertly weaving through the crowd, dancing with a few people here and there, smiling and gently turning down guys. Her hair was bone straight down her back, a few frizzy pieces sticking up from the heat here and there, her mustard colored satin dress a beautiful contrast against her beautiful brown skin, the material clinging deliciously to every curve on her body. She looked exquisite and so different that Noah didn’t even recognize her. Matter of fact, if in that moment she hadn’t stopped dead center of the crowd and met his eyes, he would’ve thought she was someone else.
Upon meeting his eyes, she immediately looked away and continued moving through the crowd. Noah swore under his breath and took off down the stairs to general area. He stood on his toes, squinting his eyes as he tried his hardest to spot your dress.
There’s no way she just up and left....
This had to be cheating right? Groaning, Noah did a full 360 straining his eyes with each scan until they landed on you. You’d already been staring at him since he descended the stairs and couldn’t help but smile, your heart fluttering slightly at how hard he was searching for you. He really wanted to win this bet.
But then again, so did you.
You watched as Noah began shoving his way through the crowd to get to you, his eyes never leaving yours. He struggled a bit as most people pushed back, clearly annoyed but he refused to stop. You checked your phone for the time and saw it was already 2:55. Smirking you tapped your wrist to signal the time. Noah briefly let his eyes trail to his watch before he looked back up, just in time to catch you slip out the side door.
Swearing, Noah picked up his pace as he shoved even harder. He stumbled out the door and saw you leaning on the opposite brick wall of the alleyway.
You smirked at his flustered form, “Hey.”
Noah quickly looked at his watch. 2:59. Without wasting anymore time, Noah quickly walked over to you and slid his left arm around your waist, his hand landing on your butt before pulling you close and crushing his lips to yours. You responded immediately, wasting no time as you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer, moaning softly as you melted into him. His lips were soft and warm as he kissed you with everything he had. You dropped a hand and knotted your fingers into the fabric of his gray t-shirt. You licked his mouth until his lips parted, using that as an entryway to enter your tongue in his mouth. His lips closing on top of your bottom lip, before he slid his tongue inside your mouth. Tilting his head, his tongue grazed against hers as his right hand slid to cup her face.
You had trouble breaking the kiss, but did and pulled away trying your hardest to catch your breath. Noah pressed his forehead against yours, his breath mingling with yours. You slowly opened your eyes simply to find Noah was already staring at you, his beautiful brown eyes filled with hunger and adoration.
“Caught you,” He breathed, triumphantly, “and after seeing you in this dress...” He chewed on his bottom lip as his eyes lazily roamed over your body, lingering on your now swollen lips before landing back on your eyes, “I want my prize. I want you.”
You felt your center throb at his words and bit down on your lip to suppress your whimper.
