@bxrnwild
word of a new employee would begin work today got around the farmland rather quickly . though , no one expected it to be one of the dead . the living dead were rather popular in the big cities . working as mere servants were what they were created for . handling the day to day hard work that living humans would rather not do . and that was precisely why friday was sent here .
standing in front of the centaur , the corpse had a fish eyed look . he would not blink nor crack a smile . instead , reaching into his suit pocket and pulling something out : a paper notebook and an ink pen . he flipped open to the first sheet of paper and began to write . it only took a few moments before holding the paper out for the other to read . his handwriting was extremely smooth and written in beautiful calligraphy . it read :
𝓂𝓎 𝓃𝒶𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝒻𝓇𝒾𝒹𝒶𝓎 . 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒹𝑜 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓇𝑒𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝓂𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝒹𝑜 ?
Oscar knew that it was rude to stare. It was one of the very first lessons he had learned as a colt, when his mother had caught him staring at a wheelchair-bound woman. And yet, he couldn’t help but stare now, at the new worker on the farm. He knew that the living dead was a fairly common thing... But he never expected to actually encounter one. Much less work with one!
And yet, here he was. Standing right in front of a living corpse, watching as he wrote down a few words. Oscar couldn’t help but be glad that he could at least write; Communication was pretty important, especially when working with farm equipment.
A bright smile crossed the stallion’s face, figuring he might as well be friendly. They technically were coworkers now, right? “It’s nice to meet you, Friday! My name’s Oscar, and you’ll actually be working with me today.” He took a few steps back as he turned, gesturing to a plow nearby. It was surprisingly old-fashioned, though obviously in good condition. “We’ll be working on plowing the fields today. You...ah... Do you know how to use a plow?”

{❆} - “…O-oh.” Well. That… that explained it… Usually Otiice’s other mates would’ve known what to do right away. Otiice smiled, turning so he could kiss Oscar’s lips and show that it was okay to be inexperienced.
“Then… allow me to take over… if you don’t mind, dear Oscar…” He pulled away and moved so he was parallel to Oscar.

Oscar was glad that Otiice didn’t seem to mind. At least, not enough for the moment to be horribly ruined. But he still felt bad for it, apologizing once again as the other stallion moved. “Please...? Teach me, sugar. Show me what to do.” He wanted to be able to do the same to Otiice. To be a good mate.
cuteteacakes:
{❆} - Oh dear, Oscar was kissing him all over, and his hands… his hands were driving him insane. The soft touches from his fingertips made Otiice whine and his hooves stomp at the ground. But it was the neck kisses that totally undid him. He moaned and craned his neck, his legs feeling like they would buckle.
“O…Oscar…” he pleaded, taking the other’s hands and guiding them down his front. He looked at him through lidded eyes, a deep blush on his cheeks. “Please…”
Oh. This is going to be a bit tricky. Humans definitely had it easier; Everything could be reached pretty easily from the front. That wasn’t the case here, even though Oscar fully understood what Otiice wanted. Would he be fine if Oscar couldn’t kiss him? He fidgeted, moving for a moment, as if to get to the other stallion’s member a bit better, before pausing.
“Ah... S-Sorry, I’ve... This is my...first time...” It didn’t feel right now to be honest, especially with how inexperienced he was. Not just being with another centaur, but with another stallion as well. Ah, he probably just destroyed the mood now.
vessuvius:
❝ i think so , but i don’t think it’s because of the lifestyle. just the food quality , or air quality - the quality of something is better in the countryside , just not quality of life i think. ❞ he thought about it for a moment ; if he were to move away from the city he wouldn’t miss much. but he couldn’t do it - to live on a farm again would be reliving the past. ❝ do you live in the city too ? ❞
“Just outside of it, actually. I can’t very well rent an apartment, after all.” There would definitely be too many complications for his liking. “I moved away from home to try and be more independent, honestly... Surprisingly difficult to do. I guess there’s not really room for centaurs nowadays.”
vessuvius:
❝ it’s not a bad idea, ❞ he muses. he tries to recall his own experiences ; life on the farm felt so far away, and he didn’t realize that would sadden him as much as it did now. ❝ i used to live on a farm , far far away from everybody. i resented it at the time, but now i’m reconsidering. ❞
“I always found it to be rather exciting. I still remember the adventures I used to go on with the others, when I was just a foal.” Oscar let out a soft chuckle, looking over at his current companion. “Perhaps moving back to a farm could do you some good. Don’t some humans say that life in the country can be healthier?”
@bxrnwild !!
❝ it’s nice out here - almost … serene. ❞ he’s spent so much time in the city, he’d nearly forgotten a life without the costant buzz exists. ❝ do you live out here ? seems like you’d be really fortunate to, huh. ❞
He let out a soft sound of agreement, leaning up against a tree to relax. He really did enjoy the time he spent on the farm; There was something quite comforting about being out in the country. “I don’t live out here, unfortunately,” Oscar admitted, albeit a bit reluctantly. “I just work here. Though maybe moving back onto a farm isn’t such a bad idea...”

{❆} - Otiice wouldn’t want any humans to show up anyway, ever. Especially not when his guard was down like this. His mind was clouded with lust and desire, and he obediently let Oscar lead him to the secluded grove of trees.
Walking was becoming a challenge now with his length unsheathed and throbbing. Sometimes he wondered if it would’ve been easier to be a human in this kind of situation… But no matter, Oscar was going to take care of him… The other stallion seemed to like it when Otiice kissed him on the collar, maybe he should do it again…
So he did…
It was quiet in the grove, far from where others were gathering. Most importantly, it was out of sight; Now that he was aware of the state the both of them were in, fully and obviously, Oscar felt a bit embarrassed. This was the first time anyone had made him like this, and it was almost painful.
What’s worse? Otiice seemed to be using that weak spot of his again, the stallion stomping the ground as he let out a low, moaning sort of groan. Oscar nipped at the other’s ear as a form of ‘retaliation’, lining his neck with a peppering of kisses as he pulled the other stallion close. Hands roaming, experimenting, trying to find a spot that Otiice would like as well as Oscar liked that kiss.

“ i - i ‘ m not nervous ! “ that was a lie . tadaomi was always a rather shy and quiet person , especially around strangers . “ and it ‘ s … nothing like that . “ his voice sounded slightly serious as he continued . “ i just … don ‘ t want you to think i ‘ m staring at you because i think you ‘ re weird or anything like that . “ it seemed he was having trouble putting what he wanted to say into the right choice of words . “ i guess i was just … looking at you . “ bright red flashed across his entire face as he became even more flustered . “ a - ahh ! not in a weird way ! “ it seemed like whatever he thought of saying was only making him look more and more embarrassed . “ j - just … nevermind !! “
tadaomi decided to leave the kitchen . he couldn ‘ t stand the humiliation any longer . besides , he had to get ready for bed to wake up early tomorrow to do more chores . first , he headed into the bathroom where he drew himself a hot bath . he enjoyed added a bit of bleach mixed in with the water . relaxing in the water , he lied and wondered to himself for a while . once he was finished , he headed into his bed after getting dressed in a pair of pajamas .
it was early morning as his alarm clock on his phone was going off . slightly groaning , tadaomi reached over and turned it off . getting up from his bed , he got dressed and headed into the bathroom where he washed his hands possibly seven times before heading outside . he saw oliver was already up before him and in the barn . “ g - good morning . “ tadaomi still felt a bit embarrassed from what happened last night . he looked around the barn a bit . “ so … what do you want me to do ? “
That could have gone better... But Oscar supposed it also could have gone worse. At least Tadaomi still showed up at the barn the next morning, much to his relief. He was worried that his questions had scared him off, despite the whole reason why he was sent to the farm in the first place.
“Good morning~!” He was actually a bit busy, fastening one of his harnesses around himself. “For right now, you’ve actually got a choice,” Oscar told him, far more chipper than a person probably should be that early in the morning. “Boss is planning to build a new barn for the horses, so we’ve got to haul some logs over to where it’s gonna get built. You can come with us and help with that, or you can stay here and feed the chickens.”
He gestured to the pail of chicken feed as he mentioned the chore. “You don’t even have to go into the coop with them. If you want, you can just toss it through the chicken wire. They’ll eat it, regardless of how you give it to ‘em. So? Which do you want to do?”
cleanphobia:
“ a - ah .. “ now tadaomi was starting to blush . his cheeks flushed with a bright pink color as he looked at the other who was trying to hide their laughter . he lowered his head , trying to hide his own embarrassment from him . listening to his words closely , he slightly nodded his head . “ i .. i see . “ that was a relief to hear . tadaomi has no experience what so ever with animals . but hearing that they were all use to humans and were rather friendly creatures put his mind at ease . “ i guess i should start cooking dinner for everyone then . “ leaving the barn , he made his way back into the farmhouse and into the kitchen .
tadaomi began doing preparations for dinner . collecting ingredients and wiping down the kitchen counters and surfaces . he slid off his gloves to expose his bare and scarred hands to which he began to repeatedly scrub until he left like he was clean enough to stop . turning to the ingredients at hand , tadaomi decided he was going to make curry and rice . a rather simple and tasty dish .
it didn ‘ t take long for dinner to be ready . the whole kitchen smelled of the delicious aroma . placing the curry and rice on a plate side by side , he placed it in front of oliver . “ it ‘ s finished . “ he said before nodding his head towards him . “ i hope you like it . “ with dinner finished , tadaomi couldn ‘ t help but let his eyes wonder . he looked over towards the creatures horse half . HE REALLY WAS PART HORSE . tadaomi didn ‘ t take the time to notice it before , but his horse hair looked rather soft and delicate . he wondered what it felt like . it was when oliver caught him staring that tadaomi ‘ s face turned completely red . “ a - ah ! sorry ! i - i should start cleaning up ! “ HE WAS ACTING DISGUSTING . his stomach turned at his behavior . shuffling over to the kitchen counter space , tadaomi began to wipe from the area where he cooked with bleach and disinfectant . EVERYTHING HAD TO BE SPOTLESS .
A nod was given as Tadaomi excused himself. “Sounds like a good plan,” Oscar agreed. “I’ll finish up here and get cleaned up, then I’ll head in.” There were still a few things that had to be taken care of, but it was still Tadaomi’s first day. One step at a time, right? Oscar was already planning to introduce him to the chickens and pigs in the morning, but for now? The cows were a good first step.
Thankfully, it didn’t take Oscar long to finish and take a bath. Admittedly, he cheated a bit on the bath, and just took a dip in the river nearby... But, hey, he didn’t have any dirt on him, and he could clean up properly after he ate.
He took a deep breath when he joined Tadaomi in the kitchen, grinning at the delicious smell. It was different from what he normally cooked, but it still smelled great! “If it tastes half as good as it smells, I’m gonna love it.” Granted, first he had to...well... ‘Sit’. Which was less sitting, and more laying down, his forelegs stretching out underneath the table a bit. A trick position, but definitely more comfortable than eating standing up.
Oscar never had curry before, but he definitely liked it. It was an interesting taste! Though not enough to keep him from noticing Tadaomi’s eyes on him. The stallion blinked, looking over with a curious expression. “Ah? No, it’s alright...!” Oh, wait, he was scurrying off again...
Falling silent for a few moments, focusing on eating his dinner, Oscar soon paused and set the bowl down. “Ya know...” He tapped his chin for a moment, trying to figure out how to word what he wanted to say. “You don’t gotta be so nervous. I know I’m not something you see everyday.” He once again smiled, his tail giving a small twitch. “If you’ve got any questions, don’t be afraid to ask ‘em.”
cleanphobia:
“ i see … “ tadaomi felted he could easily do the things he had listed besides the last one . there was no way he could see himself even getting close to an animals under carriage . the thought of it made him feel a bit dizzy . letting out a deep sigh , he finally finished putting away his belongings in the correct spots . “ i guess i better get to it . “ and with that , tadaomi followed oscar outside and into the nearby barn .
THE ANIMALS WERE SCARY TO HIM . they were like a walking germ . they walked in their own feces , ate dirty food , and even made creepy noises . “ a - ah … nice , animals . “ tadaomi felt his palms sweating from underneath his gloves . they looked so deadly to him . like they could attack at any moment . tadaomi held a large bucket of food containing things such as grains , apples , carrots and many other things . he stepped slowly towards the feeding troth , making sure to not step in any dirt along the way . “ i - i ‘ m … just here to feed you … okay ? “ his voice was trembling . quickly , he poured the food into the troth and scurried away . they didn ‘ t attack him ? he watched as the cows all made their way over to the food and began to eat at a slow pace . “ eh ? “
“That’s the spirit~!” Probably not the best attitude, but at least Tadaomi was willing. And that had to count for something, right? So Oscar led him out to the barn to feed the cows, giving him one of the buckets while the stallion took the other.
Granted, he didn’t expect the other to be so...uneasy around the cows; By the time Tadaomi got to the feeding troth, Oscar had already dumped his bucket in and was petting one of the cows. He couldn’t help the soft huff that escaped him when he saw how Tadaomi acted, covering his mouth with a quiet laugh.
What? It was actually kind of cute, especially with the confusion on his face. “The cows won’t do anything to you,” Oscar assured him. “They’re just big ol’ lugs.” He patted the cow he’d been petting on the head before rejoining Tadaomi, taking the bucket that he had and hanging them both up. “All the farm animals are actually pretty gentle; They’re used to humans, so they’re more likely to love you to death than anything.”
cleanphobia:
HE HEARD THE MALE VOICE CALLING TO HIM CLEARLY . lifting up his head slightly , using the back of his hand to brush away the tears , he pushed himself up from the floorboards and stood up . “ … coming . “ he answered the voice with a depressing tone in his voice . before putting his hand on the door handle , he made sure to slip back on his gloves . twisting and pulling , the door opening .
WAS THIS SOME SORT OF JOKE ? standing before tadaomi was a man … no , a horse ? was this his own mind playing tricks on him ? tadaomi couldn ‘ t help but crack a smile . “ i see … has my sanity finally snapped ? … “ he spoke just below a whisper ––– he would be surprised if the stranger would have heard him . he brushed it off . IF HE WAS GOING TO BE STAYING IN HELL , HE MIGHT AS WELL PLAY ALONG . “ oscar ? … ah , yes … i think doctor kurose mentioned you before i came here … please , come in . “
tadaomi headed over to his suitcase that has not yet been opened and unpacked . reaching over and unsnapping the hedges , inside was perfectly folded belongings such as clothing , cleaning products and other miscellaneous things . picking up the items one by one , he began unpacking and placing the objects around the room . “ so … “ tadaomi finally spoke again . “ what will … be the chores that i have to do here ? “ his was honestly curious due to his doctor not specifying what his jobs would be here . of course , he was hoping it wouldn ‘ t be something not too harsh like racking up manor or cleaning toilets . he didn ‘ t even want to think about the dark suicidal depression he would be thrown into if that happened .
Honestly, Oscar was just glad that there wasn’t any screaming. No, Tadaomi seemed rather pleasant, despite being face-to-face with a creature most people didn’t think was real. “Thank you,” he said with a small nod, ducking down a bit to enter the room. It was, admittedly, not meant for someone his size; Oscar quickly found a spot out of the way of where the guest would be going, watching as he got started with unpacking.
“Nothing too extreme,” the stallion assured him. “Boss wants to get you started on the easy things first; Helping feed the animals, cooking for the other farmhands... Oh, right, and checking fence lines.” His hands folded against his stomach, giving Tadaomi a reassuring smile. “In a few days, if you’re feeling comfortable with it, we’ll get you started on some other chores as well. Like getting the cows set up for milking.”
@bxrnwild | ♡ FOR A STARTER .
HE DIDN ’ T WANT TO BE HERE . by orders from his therapist , he was forced to live on a farmland and help out with daily chores . this was suppose to help his germaphobia –––– but this place was hell on earth for him . dozens of animals wallowing in their own feces , bugs of many kind crawling all around , dirt and dust everywhere he looked . SO MANY GERMS .
tadaomi could be found in the bedroom he would be staying at . his suitcases were still neaty packed and placed on his bed . he was sitting up in the fetal position with his back against the wall and sitting on the wooden floor boards . why would his doctor send him to such a place ? how would a place like this help him ? he hasn ‘ t even gotten the chance to meet the owner of this farm yet and he was already having a mental breakdown . he had already taken the liberty of using the restroom and scrubbing his hands as hard as he could –––– but no matter what , he could not get the feeling of filth off of him .
tears streamed down his cheeks as he held onto his face . his hands were scraped and bleeding due to his overly excessive scrubbing . he didn ‘ t want to be here . he wanted to be home and bathe himself in bleach immediately . tadaomi felt like a trapped animal . HE WAS HELPLESS .
Oscar had heard that they had a guest on the farm; A young man, who was apparently there on doctor’s orders. Personally? The stallion found it a little odd. He’d never heard of sending someone to help on a farm as a treatment for anything, other than the few times that the few times that they had teenagers sent to them for behavioral issues.
But this wasn’t one of those cases. The boss assured Oscar that this was an attempt to treat...ah... What was the word he had used again? Germaphobia? Another odd thing, something that Oscar wasn’t entirely sure how or why it was a thing. But he was trusted to be the one to help their guest. There was quite a bit to do, after all; Showing him where things were, how to do the chores, going over schedules and whatnot...
He carefully moved his way through the hallway, finding the door of the guestroom fairly easily. (Why wouldn’t he? He knew the farm like the back of his hand.) “Mister...ah... Mister Shirotani...?” Oscar called out, giving a knock on the door. “My name’s Oscar. I’m here to help you get settled.”
utafutajiism:
“Okay, cute name, but like,” Rikki flipped over him, twisting in the air and stopping when she was at eye-line with him. “Planet-wise? Is this still Earth, or elsewhere?”
What a curious girl. Though Oscar supposed that his entire life was made of curiosities like this. “Last I checked, this is definitely still Earth,” he assured her. “You’ll have to excuse me, though, since that’s the most I can say for certain. I’m not even familiar with traveling outside of the States.”
utafutajiism:
“All week? I didn’t think plants took that much work?” Rikki hummed. “I’m Rikki by the way~ Where are we? My traveling got interrupted and I ended up, well,” she patted his back. “Here.”
“It does when you can’t crouch or kneel like most bipeds.” He turned to start walking along the edge of the flowerbed, occasionally leaning down to pick things up that he had left behind. “My name’s Oscar. A pleasure to meet you, Miss Rikki.” She sounded so refined; He couldn’t help but call her a ‘miss’. “As for where we are? We’re right outside a city called Springs.”
