Elizabeth McCord and Noah kahan =2 favorite things
The PILOT ladies and gentlemen. LOOK AT THESE TWO CUTIES 😭😭😭
Bringing this back to your blogs because it’s Thursday (also known as I have no reason other than I just love them) 🥰💜
The Badass McCords Henry: You’re drunk, and you’re in uniform. You know what that means? Big Chicken Dinner, Bad Conduct Discharge. Asshat Lt: You MP? Henry: No. Fortunately for you - Captain, USMC, retired. Just don’t disgrace yourself in public, okay, Lieutenant? You need a cup of coffee? I’ll buy you one. I’ll put you in a cab. Asshat Lt’s Friend: He’s with us, sir. I’ll take care of him. Henry: Get him out of here. Asshat Lt’s Friend: Thank you, Captain. Douchebag Peace Negotiator: Vincent Marsh gave me this job because he knew how to do his job. And I’ll tell you another thing: if he’d lived, Vincent Marsh would’ve been the next president of the United States and I’d be sitting in that chair. I’d have your job. Bess: But it’s my job now. And you’re fired.
“If you’re asking me to be the man beside the woman, I’m in.”
happy anniversary
Henry and his dirty mind🤣🙈😏🔥
3.09 Snap Back
Henry’s cheek rested against her temple, and she shut her eyes tight and pretended that none of the last day had happened—even if it was just pretend, she felt like she could breathe a little deeper. But the moment faded quickly, and she felt the heaviness on her chest and shoulders again, pulling away from him and swiping quickly underneath her eye to fix the mascara smudges.
“We should get Dr. Klein,” she whispered, looking down and away from him at some insignificant leaf on the ground. One of the dead leaves that had blown in off the shedding trees, preparing for the cold winter they’re surely about to have.
Henry didn’t say anything at first, and though they weren’t touching, she felt him tense. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice more tender than she’d heard it be in a while.
She nodded, unable to look up at him and say anything. She was unable to look him in the eye, either. She just dragged her tongue across her lips and took a deep breath, trying to put that brave face back on for Buttercup. Because when she turned around, she would see him in his stall, sticking his head out and watching her, for the very last time.
Henry stood very still and very quiet while she turned around and saw him just as she’d expected to see him. His lip was hanging open just slightly, and he was watching her with a loyalty and dedication that she’s not sure she’d ever experienced from another animal, and not sure she ever will. She smiled at him and blinked the tears away, walking toward him and giving him a full carrot again. He surely knows by now that something is up, she thought. He hasn’t gotten this many treats in this amount of time ever.
But he chewed happily like there was nothing to worry about. Elizabeth looked down and saw him favoring his leg, though, and that solidified it in her mind: it was time.
It only took about thirty minutes for Dr. Klein to arrive, and Elizabeth had stayed with Buttercup and fed him all the apples and carrots and treats that his heart desired. Henry pet Buttercup from the other side of Elizabeth, not imposing on her space. Every once in a while, she would look across Buttercup’s face at him and see different versions of her husband.

Going through some old fanfics and came across this one, one of my favorite little one-shots.
"Four"
Elizabeth and Henry are learning to tango for their vow renewal (5x10). They're interrupted by a phone call from Jay, but it comes just after the instructor tells Elizabeth dance isn't math, and she's rather happy that she doesn't have to continue the lesson. Later that day, Henry teaches Elizabeth the tango in the comfort of their own home.
In His Arms Chapter 22 - "The Reckoning"
Elizabeth | Post-Extraction – Day 10 (232 Hours)
When she opened the car door, the air felt like she was breathing under water—the humidity was that thick. She wasn't sure which was worse: being in a deafeningly silent car with Henry for the past four hours where she pretended to be asleep the whole ride or being in this stifling underwater-like heat in D.C.
As Henry was working to get her crutches out of the backseat, she swung her legs out and dangled them outside the car door. Her hand was still in her pocket, her fingertips jangling the chain on his dog tag that he'd given to her. When he came around with her crutches, her eyes darted immediately to the one hanging around his neck, tucked underneath his shirt.
She took the crutches without saying anything, just one more moment of feeling like they were being ripped apart from each other.
Conrad walked up and looked at Henry, "You need to be going immediately," he said, looking back at where he'd just come out of Langley. "Otherwise we're going to have a bigger problem. Rawlins is waiting on you."
Henry nodded, swallowing hard. "I scratched your car, sir."
Elizabeth looked at him and felt her jaw tighten, thinking, you had to tell him now? But Conrad looked at the side of the car and sighed, nodded, and then looked at Elizabeth. "Everyone's okay I assume," he said.
"Fine," she murmured, using her crutches to walk past Conrad and toward Lydia's car—the one he apparently was driving now that the 4Runner had been occupied. She could feel both of their eyes on her back, and she turned around and looked at Henry, then looked away when she felt the immediate pain that shot through her chest.
Conrad let out a sigh, "Alright then," he mumbled, looking at Henry. "I'll let you two say your goodbyes."
She looked at Henry when Conrad when to his car and shut the door, and Henry just shifted awkwardly. Finally, he stepped toward her and hugged her tight, his lips right beside her ear and his scruff tickling the side of her face, "Be safe," he whispered. "Don't forget what I gave you."
You gave me everything, Henry. Life. Love. You.
"I will," she whispered, meaning she'd try to be safe. She closed her eyes and felt her throat tightening when he started letting go, and she almost pulled him back, but she knew this was how it needed to be.
