i think one of my favorite things about song lyrics or poetry is that they will forever be open to interpretation. you can listen to the same song every single day and suddenly stumble upon a new perspective or meaning hidden within it. two people can have two vastly different views on the same piece of writing. the more exposure you have, the more elucidating written art becomes, but it also becomes more obscure

i think the worst part about being older and wiser is knowing that the pain eventually passes, but you still have to feel it first. like i know i’ll feel better about this soon, but i’m not quite sure when exactly, and i really wish i could fast forward to that time now

i may just take a moment, or several, to break down every single song on ttpd because wow, i don’t think there’s ever been an album i’ve related to more before in the entirety of my life 🥲

i’ve been a writer all my life, but i’ve kept it mostly hidden from public sight. well, with the exception of beauty blog posts, and school assignments, and long-winded texts proclaiming my love and excitement over my favorite things. i’ve filled countless notebooks, the backs of napkins and empty paper bags, and of course my notes app with writing of all kinds; lyrical, poetry and prose, and short, (and long), form musings.

i’ve found i’ve always been hesitant when it comes to opening up and sharing something new. whenever you release something into the world, you have to accept that it may go misunderstood, misinterpreted, and may even be mishandled. but in contrast to that, and especially proven to me these last few months, doing things through trepidation is the only way towards transformation. if you want to do and accomplish great things, you’re going to have to be brave.

i’m not entirely sure where this writing journey will take me, but at the very least it will give me a place to speak without limitations, and an opportunity to explore the beauty of vulnerability. so here i am, ready to share my writing with you 🏹🤍

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.
