The next thing Marcus knew his limbs felt tingly and his head felt dizzy. “This is the part where if I wasn’t a complete dick I’d say thank you.” His voice was loud and clear in Marcus’s head.

Marcus gripped the sinks edge tightly as he accepted jacks essence “no shit” he growled, clenching his teeth. After a moment marcus adjusted and relaxed himself “well… What’s first on the list then?” He said

“We lay low…let things die down…let them get comfortable.” Jack grinned and the grin appeared on Marcus’s face.

Taking Over

Jack wasn’t entirely sure how it had happened but he was alive…sort of. He stood in the room, watching Crowley, Mina, Mina’s daughter, and Jophiel bleed out on the floor, and Ari on the ground staring numbly at her husband’s dead body. Jack knew he needed to find a body…but he couldn’t help but enjoy seeing Ari like that. He tore himself away from the happy scene and went to the oldest demon that he could find that he could easily possess. He appeared in the room with Marcus, not taking any physical form. But he was there and he knew that Marcus could feel him and hear him. “Marcus, right?”

Since eves demise Marcus had felt oddly lost. He had spent most of his life messing with her plans, screwing with her kin. A little to similar to that Persian soilder that followed her about. But now she was dead. And Marcus had nothing to occupy himself with except visit different bars and occasionally visit the rack for stress relief. He had just taken a sip from his fourth whiskey sour when he felt a chill run down his spine. An odd sensation considering he was physically incapable of getting cold. But then came the voice. A voice he had hadn’t for over 40 years. Must have been a mistake, someone else sounding similar. That or he was finally loosing it.

“Don’t ignore me, Marcus.” Jack growled into his ear, clearly furious.

Marcus jerked sideways, nearly spilling his drink. He set his glass aside and quickly headed into the bathroom, splashing water in his face and slicking his hair back from his face. “How the hell are you here?” He hissed, staring into the mirror.

Jack grinned and Marcus could faintly see him in the mirror. “Some shitheads brought me back…but they fucked it up.” He said.

Marcus squinted a little and tried to make out jacks outline “and you’ve come to me, why?” He said slowly.

“Because my body is rotting somewhere…I need a vessel…temporarily.” He said. “And a cigarette.”

Marcus turned and faced him, shaking his head “you want to posses me? Surely there is someone else you can use?” He said carefully.

“You’re my best option.” Jack said.

Marcus narrowed his eyes at him “sucking up suits you about as much as apologising does” he said flatly, folding his arms. “Don’t treat me like a fool… If you want to possess me then Atleast tell me the truth” he said, raising an eyebrow.

Jack gritted his teeth and glared at Marcus. “I don’t have any other options…and I have revenge to serve..and a body to restore…now let me in.” He snarled.

Marcus huffed and nodded “that sounds more like you. Just dot he me killed alright” he said, lowering his arms. “That my only request”

“I don’t plan on killing you.” Jack shrugged and smirked at Marcus. “I promise to try not to kill you.” He chuckled and grinned at him. “Do we have a deal?”
