So how’s Felix doing Byleth?

It’s Felix. As always, he pushes himself hard. I don’t believe a single day goes by that he does not train himself to exhaustion. At least, I almost never go into the training hall and not see him there.

I don’t know the specifics, but if you ask me, I don’t think anything’s amiss with Felix.

Have you asked Jeritza about how he feels when he’s around you? Maybe some day you and Jeritza could talk about it.

I have never done that. Mostly for the reason that I am unsure why I should. I cannot presume to understand how that man’s mind works, let alone what he may think of me…

I suppose, I would like to know too. Maybe I would finally understand why he seems adamant for us to be at each other’s throats. Either he despises me or he is simply bloodthirsty and I am but an easy target. Who knows but Jeritza himself.

I cannot say for certain that I know much about this Kingdom. I also don’t recall travelling there with my father as mercenaries. So I guess, no.

Byleth you probably don’t know a lot about love and romance. Whenever you are around Jeritza how do you feel? I’m not teasing you this time I promise.

Most of my days are spent with a sword in my hand. Or teaching, and from time to time helping with various tasks to be done around here.

I do not have much time to ponder about such things as love and relationships. So, ah.. you’re right, I don’t know a lot, nor do I have experience with romance… so I will indulge your train of thought.

How do I feel when around Jeritza?

Hmm. On guard. Curious.

I feel on guard around him and a little curious. How else? He does not seem to be particularly friendly with most, so nobody knows a whole lot about him. And he seems to want to test my might with the blade often. Who knows what will happen with him in the same room as I.

Though I have to admit that I look forward to sparring with such an adept swordsman, and whenever deployed together, he consistently proves to be a very valuable ally. Though one would have to be careful when he is in one of his dour, violent states… but that is never a problem for me. I handle it just fine.

Hello prof what’s ur favorite thing about the other profs manuela, hanneman and jeritza? And what about seteth?

I suppose I can indulge you on this.

Manuela's singing voice, for one. Her versatility, also. She can heal just as well as she can destroy, or perhaps better. However, she can be rather untidy... she'd hate to hear that from me. Well, I helped her clean once, but the following week, her quarters were a mess again. I never did it again. How she keeps the infirmary sterile, I do not know.

Hanneman has a habit of ...scrutinising me. He says it's for research, but sometimes it's downright intrusive. I suppose he does not realise it, for he only has his studies in mind while doing so. That sounds negative, but it is something to be admired—his dedication to his job.

I think it's secretly funny when Manuela and Hanneman clash. I like them both in the same room for that reason.

Jeritza... his prowess in battle. Sparring with him is exhilarating in a different sense. I also think it's unexpected that he is obsessed with sweets. And he likes to watch the stray cats in his free time, though I do not see him approach them. He makes for a formidable ally and a terrifying enemy.

He ignores most others.

Seteth is a man I find difficult to be around at times. He is painstaking, dedicated, and loyal to the monastery, well, mostly to Rhea. He seems to always be weighing one thing versus another in his mind. I think there is something to be said about his protectiveness over Flayn. Though it appears excessive, it is also borne out of love.

Ashe and Ignatz are so adorable don’t you agree.

I suppose they can be, at times.

Ashe is amicable and he seems very grateful to Lord Lonato; his gratitude is certainly quite different, at least compared to some of the students here that have been born into an easier life. I do not know a lot of students quite as loyal to family as Ashe nor quite as soft-hearted.

Now, Ignatz... He is kind, albeit rather shy. Sometimes, I see him sketching and painting, but as soon as somebody approaches him to have a look, he is quick to hide his art. I understand this is due to his responsibility to become a Knight, rather than an artist. And I hope someday he makes peace with it.

I.. am not sure whether what I have just said constitutes as “adorable” facts about these students, but these are my thoughts nonetheless.

“It is quite alright. I was not offended at all,” Byleth reassures her.

Just confused.

“Hmm. Sylvain, you say? I’ll need to have a word with him about this… whatever it is.”

What information does Sylvain have that I don’t?

Byleth wonders what this person is trying to insinuate. Her and professor @jeritza-rp? Sure, he has a habit of pursuing her and pestering her for a duel, but… more than that? She didn’t know what to think of it. The thought brings most unwelcome heat to her face. But most of all, it completely baffles her.

Is it really true that Cyril can’t read? He asked me to help him read a list you know… i thought this kind of thing would be taught in school. he lives in a school.

I was not aware. You’re right; if this is true, it should be remedied. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will look for him and offer to teach him or place him in an appropriate class. That should help.

Being able to read and write can be the difference to life and death—it’s not only fighting that we should teach. Nobody should remain illiterate if I can help it. Especially not while living in this monastery, with plenty of resources to learn. Even as a mercenary, my father made sure I learnt at a young age.
