Not sure I saw it anywhere around the blog or maybe I missed, or no one asked about it much. But -
Is there any Lore about Eclipse? I mean how did you meet each other and ended up in a family? This guy seems so sweet and wholesome dork but something behind this broken button.

His story was never publicly explained. So you're about to get a STORY! Apologies for it being so long. I've tried to shorten it as much as I could. XDDD
The thing is, to start he wasn't a kind animatronic.
It started with Glitch Trap being part of the Pizzaplex's system. After getting into the mind of Vanessa and sending off a virus to Moon, his existence caused a lot more than just affecting Vanessa and Moon. He also created many viruses, but once the pizzaplex had been destroyed and was condemned. GlitchTrap's presence disappeared, except for one virus.
This virus had affected coding for an animatronic, but the existence of it was still in the system...and the system was still very much online and connected.
That virus and code became to be...Eclipse. He was stuck in the system for a long while, but because he had access to pretty much everything. He would watch what remaining animatronics wandered the plex. He also had connection to two animatronics who had left the pizzaplex with a woman, which was Sun, Moon and Kate.
He found himself fascinated and hateful at these two animatronics. Able to escape this hell hole and live a life with this woman.
Sadly, Eclipse's virus was very much a conflicting one. He had old existing memories that were that of afton's. One glimmer of a memory he can recall is a young girl he adored and loved and he felt as though he was aware, they were taken from them.
Having access to Sun and Moon's memory, he was always able to see her, this girl, and for some reason...he wanted her.
So he decided to use the parts and repairs. He manipulated the system and from what was left in the plex to build him a body. It wasn't perfect, it still isn't. But it was his.
Once built he then phished out Kate's information and sent her a message telling her that she was in posession of two animatronics that were the rightful ownership of Fazbear entertainment and that unless she wanted to lose them. She'd come to the pizzaplex alone.
And...she did. She was terrified and without telling Sun and Moon, she slipped out of the house and went back to the pizzaplex.
She heard his voice from the shadows as he stalked about the entrance way in the shadows, he would manipulate his voice. Throwing it about the walls. Until he was there, behind her. Big, intimidating, towering above her. Big yellow sharp toothed grin.
Eclipse's memories still telling him that this girl was his, that he had to keep her. That she was his and only his. And that's just what he planned. He took her, kept her in the pizzaplex. He'd tickle her, but it was torture. she's be bound and tormented day in and out. There's times where he'd play wicked games with her. Games where he'd pretend to let her go and then snatch her back up before reaching the exit. Times where he'd make her believe Sun and Moon had come for her, when that wasn't the case.
She was tortured, physically and mentally for about a month. In tears, the sinking feeling of knowing she was never going to get out of this.
Until Sun and Moon did come. They'd scoped out the plex before but they found no signs of her. But this time, they looked closer.
Poor Kate thinking it was another one of Eclipse's head games was convinced it wasn't them. She wouldn't fall for it. Even when she saw them. Standing there, clear as day. Her mind had been warped to believe that it wasn't real.
Moon took the initiative in attacking Eclipse and snatching Kate away from him. He screamed at them that she was his, and that they couldn't allow her to take her away.
Sun held on to Kate, but all the while she fought him, screaming how he wasn't who he was claiming to be. That this was all another wicked dream.
Sun, Moon and Kate managed to escape, but at the hardship of Kate being so mentally destroyed that they had a lot of recovery to go through for things to be normal again.
Eclipse was left alone once more and he hated it. He wanted her back so badly and he couldn't handle the idea of her being gone from him again.
It took months for Kate's stability to recover. To start, she was convinced it was still all a dream. Even when sleeping, she'd wake up screaming and sobbing. As time went on. She was so scared of everything. Sun and Moon had to stay close to her so she could hold on to them. Even when she started feeling like her old self again. She'd feared going out of the house.
Until one day she was invited out with some friends to a pub for some drinks. Sun and Moon felt it was a perfect opportunity for her to go out. Though Kate had many doubts. So they set a plan of dropping her off, calling them if she was feeling uneasy and they'd come back asap.
Once she was at the pub, she seemed fine until the tension and unease settled in and she went outside to get some air.
Annnnd unfortunately, Eclipse had been keeping track on all three of them. Still having access to what he could see from Sun and Moon as well as hacking the tracking system in Kate's phone. He was waiting for a moment for her to be alone again.
He wants to make another game out of the chase. That he'd count to ten. She had ten seconds in which to get away from him. Cutting him off from getting near the social activity of the pub she was in. So she ran, through the carpark, over to a small playground. She climb up and into a tube hoping she could hide from him only to find him crawling in from the other side. Startled, she slipped out of the tube and jumped in a panic from the playset to the ground. Twisting her ankle as she did and fled across a field. On the opposite side were houses and hopefully a chance to get help.
But her ankle now putting her through pain and Eclipse being fast. All she had to do was run up a small incline. But she slipped on the mud immediately finding herself struggling on the ground, in pain.
Eclipse now having her, pinning her, all his plans to keep her once again. But he noticed something. She was in physical pain. If it's one thing he never inflicted on her it was physical pain...and he didn't like it. He was supposed to keep her, protect her, play with her. This time, looking at her. Seeing the tears and fear on her face...he didn't like it.
He forced a moondrop into her mouth and after a few minutes. She passed out only to wake up in an abandoned house.
She found herself in an attic room. Window covered with old newspapers, peeling wall paper and bare floorboards. She was on an old dirty mattress, until she noticed Eclipse in the shadows watching her.
As much as he jeered and teased, he hated the fact she was "broken" and claimed that he would only have a short term amount of "fun" with her, before releasing her back to Sun and Moon to fix her.
With this strange down time, it gave them a chance to talk and Kate...was pissed. She questioned a lot of Eclipse's intentions and past doings. Questioning him on why? For the first time she saw something on his face that was different from last. He looked sad. He was also tending to her sprain. He hated to see her in this kind of distress and that made her question it more.
Eclipse couldn't explain it, he found himself highly conflicting on his feelings as well as the memories he had.
She questioned him on "Why are you being nice to me?" He doesn't answer, but his cooling fan sets off, which causes Kate to grill him more. Leading into the realisation of his loneliness, that there's more to this than he would realise himself. In that moment, Kate was starting to break his defences, to the point where he ends up in tears.
Kate needed to know, why her? Why her out of all the people he could have. Frustrated, confused, and sad. He didn't know himself. He was terrified at the idea of her being taken away from him again and as much as he'd put so much mental scarring on her, he just wanted her.
And truth be told, he hated seeing her in tears. The things he did to her, he hated seeing that fear, the tears, the sobbing and begging. She was a light for him and he wanted to keep that light, no..he NEEDED that light. He hated that he didn't have what Sun and Moon had. This conversation was causing him pain and he he couldn't handle it. Which causes him to cry.
He felt guilt, which means he was starting to understand. She was able to convince him to let her call Sun and Moon from her phone. But not before comforting him through his scared and lonely sobs. She didn't know why she was doing this. Why she was helping him through this after everything he'd done. I think she saw a little of herself in him. Seeing those fears, she realised he was just as scared.
In that, he was feeling her warmth, her light. He'd never felt it before until now and he didn't want to be left in the dark again.
Though it took a lot of convincing with Sun and Moon. A lot of fears and crying, Kate had managed to persuade Sun and Moon to bring Eclipse home with them.
Moon had doubts and well as a hatred for Eclipse. Is was because of Eclipse, Moon had been effected by the virus that caused him to do harm to others in the pizzaplex originally. But he despised him more for what he'd done to Kate.
Sun tried to always stay chipper and bright, but even he worried about the situation. But for Kate, he tried his best to be kind and polite to Eclipse.
It took a lot for the four of them. A lot of conflict, harsh words, and resolution, but the four of them became incredibly close.
Eclipse still had issues with himself. The guilt never left him for a good few years for what he'd done and it took her a long while until she'd forgiven him for what he'd done.
Once he was comfortable. Eclipse let go of himself. Though he can be very tormenting and has fun tickling and teasing the others. He can be such a soft boy. He loves cuddles, and blankets, and head pets and such. He has become such a better version of himself.
His button is simply broken because he created his body from the remaining broken parts that were left in the plex. As much as it's been offered to him to improve on his design. He likes to keep it the way it is. It's him. It's not only a reminder to him for who he was, but who he is now.
He's had major repaired done and such. But he's always been adamant on keeping his design exactly to how it was and everyone has accepted and catered to him for that. He loves himself more now because he knows the other love him for everything that he is. Not for what he was.

People don't realize just how big an impact Eclipse was on Hun's and I's lives. This story was made off just us teasing each other through RPs. Something neither of us did much of at the time.
That's why the story is so full. It was built on the roleplays the two of us did together. Each one starting out as a tease. Then turned into an emotional character development.
With it, our feelings for each other grew. It's why we emphasize that Eclipse is more than just an oc to us. He is literally the catylus of our relationship.
In short, Eclipse is our Garnet. We are Sun and Moon 💖
I've found comfort in a place I was NOT expecting.

I even came up with a new self-insert cookie sona. Loved my SugarCream Cookie sona, but I wanted to have another sona with a tail of some sort.
So, SweetTea Cookie it is! No definite colours or design yet. But for sure her "hair" is black, sweetened tea. Her big front teeth is a single sugar cube, and her tail is made of floating black tea leaves!
