I am always fascinated for the tourists on a bike in San Francisco. I have never seen other city on the USA with more bikes as the steep city of san Francisco. This is a beautiful city, and I agree the best way is in a bike... but I need to recognize I haven't got into a hill yet (even those 2 years I was biking every single day with my child behind me).

Tengo que reconocer yo he estado siempre fascinada por los turistas en bicicleta en San Francisco. Yo jamás he visto otra ciudad de los Estados Unidos con tantas bicicletas como en la empinada ciudad de San Francsico. Es una ciudad preciosa, y estoy de acuerdo la bici es el mejor camino... pero debo reconocer yo nunca pude con una cuesta (incluso los dos años que andaba en bici a diaro con mi niño detrás).
Mini Photography Session! Mother & Family Day
I am so excited to have this coming mini-sessions! I will work with Giant balloons and will be ready when you arrive. We will be taking your photos for 25 minutes the Sunday, April 27 while all of us are having fun!
As usual it will be aesthetic, clean and neat. For families up to 5 people (additional will pay an extra fee), kids, teens, mom, dad... special attention will be for mom with her children. I will be there to capture something I really love.
We are doing this, 2 weeks before Mother Day and there are gift certificates available.
I am finishing with details,and designing this session, then I will be posting more.

It was a little late, but we were able to catch the last of the sunset light. That's how we got this great texture in the middle of this forest in "El Camino del Mar" , and afterwards we watched the sunset in one of the best spots in San Francisco.
I would like to congratulate Amy and Scott for their tight and beautiful family.

¿Será que el nombre influye en la personalidad? ¡Yo creo que si! - Parte II
Era algo tarde, la última luz que nos quedaba, así logramos esa textura de la fotos en medio de este bosque de árboles en el "El Camino del Mar", luego entonces vino la puesta del sol en uno de los lugares más hermosos de San Francisco para mirarla.
Felicito a Amy y Scott por esta familia tan unida y bella.

Does the name affects the personality? I do believe so! - Part I
The G family is so unbelievably beautiful, authentic and probably the "biggest" family I've ever met in San Francisco. haha
Three kids with different personalities but with similar qualities, they have a deep gaze, naturalness to pose, and the simplicity of their youth.
Here I leave you Oak (the oldest one), Meadow (the new teenager) and little Dove.

Son la Familia G, una familia hermosísimamente auténtica, y posiblemente la familia "más grande" que haya conocido en SF :) Estos tres chicos con personalidades diferentes les une una mirada profunda, la naturalidad para posar y la sencillez de su juventud.

The Y Family Photo Session at Marin Headlands.
I am very excited about the session and very happy with the images. They came out perfect, like I was expecting them to be :). There are no poses, no imaginary places, and no fake light. When we started to design the session, I imagined the place with ocher, tall grass, a natural profile with mountain. I sent Erin a couple of pictures of a place that I imagined for the shoot, just to see if she liked the background and the scenery, and she said: "Lorena, that is exactly Marine Headlands!!!" The place is very special for the Y family, my dear friends. I've never been there, but it was Erin who decided the Marin Headlands, where also her husband Dave, used to work.
There was something that was always clear in my mind, the Golden Light. We change the date a couple of times, and had to adapt it to the sunset. And the time of the day is perfect, it's right after the kids afternoon snacks and before dinner. Today, I'm very happy with how the light looks. During the 2-hour-shoot you can see the sun setting and changing colors.
I thought about setting up dinner by bringing a table, chairs and eat at this beautiful place.... Then changed my mind, and picked those stools with contrasting material, simple and strong. It's a symbol of strength and stability, they also are minimalist and contemporary, that mix to me, describes the Y family.
If you follow me by now you should know I love chairs!! :)
Before the shoot I made the fresh flower crowns. I think it gives a feminine touch to the rough background. The wardrobe was thought to make you think that it was effortless. We texted/shared images back and forth until we found a look that described them so well (casual, natural, not "matchy-matchy" but still coordinated).
Finally, this is the most authentic family you will ever meet, and that sincerity in their eyes is absolutely real. And the girls are just gorgeous!

Estoy muy emocionada con esta sesión y muy contenta con las imágenes. Resultaron perfectas, justo como lo esperámos... No hay poses, lugar o luz inventada. Cuando comenzamos a diseñar la sesión, imaginé un lugar con ocres, hierva alta, y un perfil natural de montañas. Envié a Erin un par de fotos del lugar que imaginaba, tan sólo para ver si a ella le gustaba el fondo y escenografía, y ella respondió con un "Lorena, eso es exactamente como Marin headlands". Este lugar, además, es muy especial para la Familia Y, unos queridos amigos. Yo no había estado allí, pero fue Erin quien decidió Marine Headlands, donde además su marido Dave, solía trabajar.
Hubo siempre algo my claro en mi mente, la Luz Dorada. La sesión fue cambiada varias veces, y tuvimos que adaptar la hora para que coincidiera. ¡Y estoy tan feliz con la luz!. Durante las dos horas de esta sesión, tu podías ver la luz y los colores cambiando.
En algún momento pensé en traer una mesa y tener nuestra cena en esos paisajes... Entonces decidí más bien traer traer esos taburetes . de materiales contrastados, peros sencillos y robustos como símbolo de solidez y estabilidad. También con líneas minimalistas y contemporáneas, esa mezcla con la que yo puedo describir a los Y. ¡Ya os daréis cuenta que soy amante de sillas!
Antes de la sesión de fotos, hice las coronas con flores frescas, pienso eso da un toque femenino al paisaje, y aunque parezca como si no fueron pensados -esa es la idea- los tonos del vestuarios estuvieron estudiados, mensajes/imágenes fueron y vinieron hasta lograr el "look" natural y que les describe a ellos muy bien (casual, y no ultra-combinados pero sí coordinados).
Finalmente, este par de dos son las personas más auténticas que puedas conocer y esa sinceridad en sus miradas es real. Las niñas son sencillamente maravillosas!

We’re busy preparing for the holiday season at byLorena photography, and I’d love to help you create your 2013 holiday card. You still have time for a Holiday Session if you take a one hour of photo shoot with byLorena. Not only will you get pretty, unique and stylish contemporary designer photos of your family to share with your loved ones, but you will have your selection ready for printing in a holiday card with a customized design.
Almost out of time for sending the cards to print? I can send them to my favorite professional lab., so you can have your holiday cards printed by December. This is an additional cost and can vary depending on the kind of paper + design you choose. It can range from $100 to $200 for 50 printed cards + envelopes.
