People keep on saying that they miss girl boss feminism from the 2010s and I don’t understand why. That brand of feminism was so damaging to some women. It criticized movies like Cinderella and Snow White for not being strong enough like they weren’t abuse victims. Also ignored the history behind those movies and forgot that they are a product of their time.

It also ignored the awful trends from the 2010s that were damaging to women. Like torturing female characters in graphic detail for “development” (legend of korra, the tomb raider reboot) or the modern damsel in distress where female characters act strong but are actually weak and dependent on men (Disney rapunzel, Lois lane from the DCEU).

This campaign supports many people include a teenager with alopecia, a sick young boy and a woman who was recently injured in the bombing.

All of these things mean that they need funds for medication, on top of the already extortionate prices of basic necessities in Gaza.
