Khao Yai and Bangkok, Dec 2022 - Our first travel A.C. (After Covid). The company we had during the trip made it extra fun, special and memorable - the Lees whom we stayed at La Casetta with for part of our trip, T's kindy best friend and his family whom we met up with a couple of times, and @elisesuhl and family whom we had dinner with at BKK! Remembering the day we brought our first furry pet, 7 week old Mochi 🐹 home! I've never liked hamsters because rats/mice are my worst fears but Mochi might just change my mind. She was the second hamster we took a look at - curious but less skittish than the first. Stared at us several times which looked hilarious. T was immediately inspired to call her Mochi and her name was decided there and then. She explored the cage a little then went into hiding. Came out again when less of us were staring at her or perhaps the baked oats lured her out. She found her way to the 'secret garden' ❤️ behind the great wall and ninja-ed up and down instead of using the bridge. 🥲 So excited to keep the 'garden' area pretty for our little gal. Before the year ends (ooops)... Happy graduation, Thad Thad! 😘 And thank you @far.eastern_kindy for all the experiences you've given to both my children - particularly the emphasis on building a Godly character and immersing the children in sustainable practices from growing their own vegetables for CNY hotpot to creating backdrops and props for celebrations and school concerts using reusable materials. I'm always always amazed by the year-end school concert - a cohesive musical performed by all levels to tell a Bible story is definitely no mean feat, requiring perseverance and a spirit of excellence from the children. It's definitely been a blessed 7 years with you. May you continue to bless all the children that pass through your gate. T's last day of preschool and last regular before-school Yakun breakfast with Papa - When I was looking to enrol T into preschool, it felt like forever and I couldn't wait for him to start preschool. 4 years later, it feels like time fast forwarded and he's done with preschool. Highlight of June 2022 holidays definitely goes to Royal Carribean's Spectrum of the Sea. The #notsolittleteos loved it so much they begged to return. They watched their first magic show, enjoyed the live performances, had so much pool time and more. Hubs&I also enjoyed some quiet couple time after dropping them off at Adventure Ocean (Godsent place for parents)! We were also pleasantly surprised that Little A can rock-climb! 😃 And it was a lot of fun chasing and bumping Little T at bumper car (too bad can only reserve once). All I wished for this year's birthday was to wake up without any phone or human (aka Thaddeus) alarm. 😆 Wish granted, plus bonus birthday kiss and kids tidying their room happily, willingly and quickly (even though that state lasted only for a day and yeah... that's about the tidiest they could manage 😄). Bonus gift with Little A going for her first piano exam on the same day and having her recital 2 days later. Regardless of how she did, I'm glad to watch her learn to develop perseverance and self-discipline in daily practices and gaining confidence in playing the piano. My greatest wish for her in this journey is to enjoy her God-given musical gift, bless others and worship God. It's been a tiring few weeks with our helper away on home leave, but still a great month thanks to our Superb-PapaTeo! Last month marked the end of Little A's almost 5 years of learning ballet. Thanks to @trishgoh recommendation 5 years ago, we found a ballet school conveniently located just below where we were gonna move to. It's been memorable watching Little A enjoy lessons (maybe more like enjoy seeing her friends and ballet teacher), and watching her grow through difficulties and learning to be resilient. Most of all, I really treasure the videos from her ballet teacher of her practice for exams (the few times I actually get to watch her do ballet!).
