Gucci passed away overnight three days ago while I was away at school. Thanks for being there for both her and Chanel, even just in passing. I miss them both so much more than I can put into words.

I'll be honest, I forgot about this blog almost completely. I feel like I should put something on here as an update though. Chanel passed away overnight last night (6/2) and Gucci has a probable tumor that we're closely monitoring. Chanel was about 6 years old at my estimate and Gucci is around 5. Anyone who's had the joy of caring for guinea pigs knows that they're unfortunately not very long lived. We brought Gucci to the veterinary urgent care and brought Chanel too to keep her company, but Chanel became very lethargic in the car and by that night could barely move around the cage. When I woke up this morning she was gone. The vet confirmed my worst fears that Gucci most likely has a tumor between the test today and how rapidly it appeared (I'm talking a 2cm lump within the span of a week). I'm still trying to process all of this because it all happened so suddenly. If you've made it this far, here's some pictures of the two little pigs together.

i need to rehome my guinea pig

i’m going to be leaving home for college later this month (august 21st specifically). i’ll be close to home but not close enough to take care of my guinea pig, mochi, and give her the attention she needs.

so, i really need to find her a home soon! if you’re interested i’m gonna put more info under the cut about her, what supplies i have that can go with her when she leaves, where i live, and when would be best to come get her. (for clarification this is free i am not selling her, i just want a good home for her.)
