Red things.
Update: turns out the small round flies are actively scavenging from the spider webs. And dodging the spiders.
I just watched a small round fly free another small round fly from a spider's web by repeatedly flying into the trapped fly with significant force.
It's always important to switch between girl classes for the required role:
Cat - Healer
Princess - Tank
Doll - DPS
Olm - the Spy from Team Fortress 2
Depends on the doll. I think ragdolls are probably better at tanking?
Nonhuman expressions of affection are great. Purring. Exposing weak points as a show of trust. Head bonks. Preening and chewing. Nuzzling. Biting. Intertwining tails. Feeding each other. Little chuffs, chatters, beeps and squeaks. Fluffing up of feathers, fur or other things. Dancing to impress. Cleaning their fur, scales, feathers or skin. Sharing body heat. Ears pointing toward those you care about to show your full attention is on them. Slow blinking.
thank god ai can never replace me because it cant meticulously comb through historical facts, customs and structures from multiple sources only to twist them for kinky purposes and write a rarepair fic that 3 people will read skkss
Okay I think we need to give some appreciation to Scott Smajor for a second for his playing of Scott Goldsmith bc how on earth does one make themselves being murdered multiple times intimidating
Imagine if you met someone who can't eat watermelon. Not that they're allergic or unable somehow, but they just haven't figured out how to do that. So you're like "what the hell do you mean? it works just like eating anything else, you open your mouth, sink your teeth in, take a bite and chew. If you can bite, chew and swallow, you should be able to eat a watermelon."
And they agree that yes, they do know how to eat, in theory. The problem is the watermelon. Surely, if they figured out where to start, they'd figure out how to do it, but they have no clue how to get started with it.
This goes back and forth. No, it's not an emotional issue, they're not afraid of the watermelon. They can eat any other fruit, other sweet things, and other watery things ("it's watery?" they ask you). Is it the colour? Do they have a problem eating things that are green on the outside and red on the inside?
"It's red on the inside?"
Wait, they've never seen the inside? At this point you have to ask them how, exactly, they eat the watermelon. So to demonstrate, they take a whole, round, uncut watermelon, and try to bite straight into it. Even if they could bite through the crust, there's no way to get human jaws around it.
"Oh, you're supposed to cut it first. You cut the crust open and only chew through the insides."
And they had no idea. All their life this person has had no idea how to eat a watermelon, despite of being told again and again and again that it's easy, it's ridiculous to struggle with something so simple, there's no way that someone just can't eat a watermelon, how can you even mange to be bad at something as fucking simple as eating watermelon.
If someone can't do something after being repeatedly told to "just do it", there might be some key component missing that one side has no idea about, and the other side assumed was so obvious it goes without mention.
THE CHAFF PROJECT
Hi! Are you cis in the UK and you'd like to support trans rights? Great!
How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.
Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.
In practice: the goal is to make it DIFFICULT to identify trans people to target with bathroom bans, and to create many FALSE POSITIVES for businesses.
Basically, you might get accused of being trans and kicked out, because of the badge. You say: I wear the badge because trans rights matter.
You follow up with a letter to the business saying you're fucking furious because some nosy dipshit just tried to play fucking genital police with you in the loos. You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.
Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.
Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.
You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

ladybeetle is just another name for the ladybug :3
Yeah I looked into it! Americans call it a ladybug, Brits call it a ladybird, scientists call it a ladybeetle because it is not a bug (understandable mistake) and also not a bird (less forgivable)
I fear I may need to get myself a roleplay blog...
He's gonna be in Mr. Harker by the end of the month you know that right
Who is Mr. Harker!??
A man who loves his betrothed and fears your master. I wouldn’t worry about him.
:)
Everyone is so weird about people who cry easily. Fellas, is it evil and manipulative to *checks notes* have an involuntary stress response?
actually a coworker of mine said something interesting about this. I was saying that I truly can’t help how easily I cry, and I hate when people assume I do it on purpose.
and he paused for a second and then said, “when you’ve been taught from a young age that crying is weak and you should train yourself never to cry for any reason, you assume that everyone else has trained themselves too, so anyone who cries has to be doing it on purpose. it took me a long time to realize that wasn’t true.”
listen we’re never gonna run out of ways the patriarchy hurts all of us.
The Zira skincare routine.
Avoid sun.
If 1. is not possible, hiss at sun (and remember hats exist).
Occasionally wash face (save time by combining with washing rest of body in shower).
If make-up is put on, take off again as soon as possible.
Enjoy having skin. (Very important.)
All isopods are wonderful. I hope yours brings you great joy.
Sincerely, an isopod keeper.
Mine has brought me great joy, yes! My Master bestowed it upon me, after all.

Actually (inspired by listening to Dracula 2009) I think what's kind of lame about Wildhorn musicals* is that they tend to have a plot point where the sexyman darkromance male lead doesn't respect/like/love/care about any other women except the Chosen One female lead. Like to the point of treating them callously and dehumanizingly on purpose. and the entire plot lowkey revolves around the specialness of the one specific woman
I get that for some people that's part of the appeal of a romance plot, but I think that's the main thing contributing to why these stories feel misogynistic in a deep structural way. Like in these universes, women as a whole don't actually have agency and aren't important except if they're a man's special chosen one. Jekyll & Hyde is an exception because, uhh, there's technically two main sexymen and they each have their own special-chosen-one woman sjsjjs
*i haven't seen all of them but like several
**please don't talk to me about potential affaire rewrites in the notes because i don't want spoilers
