Once cleaned up, shaved and his hair cut far enough to get what remained of it clean, with a fresh stele in his pocket and a set of new runes applied to strengthen him after the deprivations that body had suffered during the last years, he had been given quarters that were nothing short of luxurious. But they were underground, as all of the Silent City, and he wanted to see the world through these new eyes. They told him to rest, to let the body he now owned recover, but action was surely better for that than sitting idly. He'd moved back into the place he had called his home for ten long years, staying in close contact.

He'd lived the next nineteen years as the werewolf Luke Garroway. He really thought he should get another nineteen years to learn to fold the two into one.

The shift of his weight seemed to be entirely sufficient to give her commands. That was, of course, just as it should have been, but for the moment, it felt almost miraculous. "Are you really going to let me outperform you?"

She was holding her client's hand between hers, the light of magic sparkling around her fingers as she poured healing power into shredded and only partially healed flesh, fusing and strengthening the nerves, tendons and muscles before allowing the power that had previously kept everything together well enough to give the man some careful use of his hands to dissipate. "Yeah," he said. "Who would have thought?" Under her touch, the angry red scars that crisscrossed the inside of his fingers, his palm and his wrist faded into lines so fine they were barely visible even if one knew to look for them.

They had broken up their meeting not long after Jack's arrival. Charlie had suggested that he distract himself from the loss of the pie by getting the books Jace had wanted, and Jack had left with a sudden smirk – only to return less than five minutes later, carrying a pile of books and putting them down in front of the Nephilim. "1984, Harry Potter and Wheel of Time," he had declared. "In other words: Manipulation of people, Wingardium Leviosa and Machin Shin," Charlie had added. Jace had stared. "I thought you were talking about books," he'd said. "This is half a library!"

Out of the corner of his eye, Simon could see Meliorn freeze. The seelie knight had evaded the tree and moved sideways around the square, keeping enough of a distance to not be caught in any kind of fallout from whatever was about to happen. He didn't know what Meliorn had expected to happen, but he was reasonably sure it hadn't included the appearance of the largest golden-scaled dragon Simon had ever laid eyes on. Admittedly, it was the only dragon Simon had seen in the flesh so far, and he wasn't sure he needed a repeat exposure. He also wasn't sure he wanted to get any closer to the creature than he had to, but Charlie clearly had different ideas. She stopped playing when they reached the dragon, holding out a hand to Simon. Climbing a dragon wasn't exactly on Simon's bucket list, but given his other options, he let her boost him up and scrambled to find a place behind the huge head. Charlie followed, clearly a much more expert dragon mounter and dragon rider than he was.

started this one during the spring/summer of 2019 i think, and finally got to finish it today 💙 headcanon is: carlos stopped wearing eyeliner since he joined auradon prep, cause he wanted to fit in with more "masculine" princes, but once harlos are together harry inspires him to go back to his original look [including curls, but that's a whole other story] 😄💙

finally finished that one halloween kliego comic strip i've started years and years ago, and decided not to wait another 5 months to post it during the actual halloween season never finished [and pretty sure i won't, ever] the additional 4 frames with ben, so you can look at the sketch of it at least anyways, have some kliego/hargreeves fun on this day 💙

At a split-second decision, he went for the other solution, whipping his arm up and around at the last possible moment as he switched from stab to slash in mid-jump, putting all the power that he could convert from his momentum into the movement. The demon general's head went flying, and Alec hit the ground hard, rolled over his shoulder and came back to his feet. His arm felt bruised from the impact, his hand momentarily numb on the sword.
