tomoko kuroki from watamote is the only female character ever, there are dudes with the incel-ish, pathetic cringe misanthrope profile, but a girl? Never seen, only tomoko. Usually these characters (esp girls) have something going on to compensate their lack of social skills like being highly intelligent or actually pretty or being really kind or at least being depressing in a sympathetic way, but she's none of this. She's embarrassing all around, she's not evil but she's cynical, full of hatred, spite and envy, that doesn't manifest in a badass cool edgy way but in a pathetic cringe way. It's interesting to see how many people couldn't watch this anime fully because of the second hand embarrassment, because they couldn't empathize with her or find it funny despite it being a comedy, only feel pity at how her struggles are played for ridicule. Also how many people cried or couldnt get through it because it reminded them of themselves in school iejdid and I think if she was a guy this wouldn't be the case, people are so used to seeing these guys portrayed that everyone finds it funny how pathetic they are or even endearing, and with her many couldnt even get themselves to watch the whole thing since she's so human and non-idealized as a woman
