Things about the Red Dwarf fandom

Everyone insists Rimmer is capable of change.

Nothing isn’t gay.

Cat is always drawn with more cat-like features.

For some reason everyone is attracted to Rimmer and I mean ǝuoʎɹǝʌǝ.

There are protection squads for every single character with +2 lines of dialogue.

The entirety of the fandom will collectively lose their shit if someone else says “it’s cold outside.”

The moment Ace Rimmer is so much as hinted at, someone else will comment “What a guy.”

Ace Rimmer is clearly the height of Chris Barrie’s acting career and god damn it he should have made it into the movie business.

Red Dwarf 30 Day Challenge

Day 08 - Least favourite series

Series 8 hands down. 

I can forgive the drop in humour, and the severe change in story. I can at a push forgive the shocking performances from some of the supporting cast ie. that one guy in Pete. Hell, even the bloody T-Rex diarrhea story would get a pass after tedious amounts of alcohol.

What I can never forgive though, is what they did to Lister. I genuinely despised him in this series at points. Back to Earth gets a lot of criticisms thrown at it, but I love it purely for redeeming Dave.

Exactly and the fact there is hardly any cat and krytie tv was horrid, not even the return of Rimmer could save the series. Having the crew back would of been ok for a episode but the whole series meant the focus was lost on the main cast.
