i get so fixated on Anything. Anything at All. how do you talk to anyone about it. OH WELL. my most normal one at the moemnt, burning a hole in my skull, is my idea for a sequel to Talk to Me (2022). I wish I was a fanfic writer. i would be casting flaming skulls on you all.
it should be called Talk 2 Me. Ofc...
it is a sequel. like a proper one. I LIKEEE Cole and Duckett but what you meannnn they want to make a prequel about them. We already have that, it's called Mia and Talk to Me (2022.) BUT you COULD have Cole be the focus of a sequel.
the hand gets broken over someone's head at a party, shattering into pieces. One of those pieces is lodged in their skull, and now they can see ghosts :) there is no off switch.
I think it probably splintered into pieces in there, so when the debris was removed SOME amount of ancient mummy hand residue or shards were left in the now stitched shut wound.
Protagonist is primarily haunted by Duckett and Mia, who want them to carry messages back to their respective families. The protagonist has to go to Australia.
The central themes are around being useddd for what makes you useful to others. The ghosts obviously want to use Protagonist to be their voices, and Cole wants to maintain contact with Duckett and help him move on, and the autonomy and needs of Protagonist end up on the wayside. We also have gottt to do something with that Phones theming they forgot about halfway through the first movie.
Love the idea of people talking to Protagonist, begging screaming etc. but they're not TALKING TO protagonist, they are talkign to their respective ghosts. Something about not being acknowledged as a person. About people talking to the ghosts first and them second (if at all.)
Jade telling Mia nobody wants her back, nobody forgives her, but looking in Protagonist's eyes as she does this without ever really acknowledging the Protagonist or the toll hearing this spoken sincerely to you could have on them.
and then the Protagonist having to console Mia. BUT TBC. I am team Mia sorry. The ghosts can be sympathetic... Protagonist can have tender moments with the ghosts, and understand where they are coming from, and want to help them even though its taking their autonomy and life from them. relationships with addiction and with addicts dot com.
