The Bee Hummingbird is the smallest bird species in the world, at a mere 5cm in length (2 inches), and weigh in at a mere 2 grams. About half the size of other hummingbird subspecies, this makes them the worlds smallest birds! Females are slightly larger than the males, and these diminutive little birds make their homes in the Cuban archipelago. Their nests are about the size of a quarter, with eggs about the size of a coffee bean.
