A lot of people seem to forget that a key part of Red’s character is being self centred and arrogant as fuck. That or this specific trait of theirs is completely disregarded or demonised entirely. It kinda pisses me off when characters like these get their specific flaws watered down for the sake of them being silly little guys. No, Red isn’t a perfectly innocent and good person; theyve even admitted to this canonically. This specific trait of theirs is so important to the story currently and their past with Purple when they were both interns. This does not mean that Red is a Horrible person, however. They’re a person that has made countless mistakes which has ultimately led to their loss of close relationships entirely. I mean, what they did was shitty as fuck. I know I wouldn’t have forgiven that if I were purple, honestly. Red of course does recognise this and addresses that they want to become a better person and learn from the mistakes they made for the sake of themselves and the one person they hurt in that very process (which in this case is Purple). They’re also one of the VERY few characters that I’ve seen that somewhat represent narcissistic or otherwise cluster B traits in a way that isn’t entirely framing it as abusive or stereotypical. It shows the negative consequences these traits contribute to and the mistakes people who share those traits are prone to making, but red’s entire character shows that whilst it may be a huge part of their character to be an arrogant and cocky dumbass; those traits don’t make them entirely good nor bad — it’s the actions that they chose to do throughout working for Mira.
Don’t get me wrong, I Like seeing content of red being stupid as fuck (because they are) but good god PLEASE they’re far more than just a dumb idiot that doesn’t know how to do their job right. There’s so much more to unpack with them as a character and I want to see more of that. I beg.
If I see one more person do this I’m actually gonna tweak out. That cis guy character can be a trans man. That cis woman character can be a trans man. Headcannoning a cis character as trans is not killing anyone’s representation and that is pretty obvious.

KOSA is a dangerous censorship bill that would give our government control over the internet, censoring children from what could be life saving sources - Such as LGBTQIA+ resources and ones regarding sexual health. And you will be unable to get out of this lock without a government issued ID. Along with the fact it directly goes against Section 230, which provides immunity for online computer services with respect to third-party content generated by their users.
