Started properly reading the MtA20 book as well, which, I had skimmed it and talked about MtA with a friend who is much more well versed in WoD, but I tried reading it a while back and just couldn't. I am not good at philosophy at all and everything was flying over my head ngl. But I'm starting it now! Properly! For OC purposes! For Ophiel #myophiel. She's got a focus now and it's a fuckin keytar lmao. She's got backstory! A vague idea of paradigm! Personality (which she had before but it's been shifting the more I work on her).

Would you believe me if I told you Lubomír is a Night Lord in his first iteration? Yeah I can't believe it either. He's such a sweetheart! Like sure, he does move houses very often cause the only day of the year he's not being blood hunted by the Camarilla is the 30th of February, and he does get a sickening sense of pleasure out of diablerising people, and he keeps inviting Ophiel to his humble abode because he finds her interesting the way someone finds a car crash interesting, and he has the emotional regulation of a very dramatic 15 year old— wait no that's on track for an astartes, is it not...
Anyways, he's such a sweet character compared to Ophiel. Wants to unlive his best batman life, and keep on unliving just to spite the folks in power. Also he's short as fuck and has a bad leg and you would think he'd fix it with vicissitude, but he just says he's gotten used to walking with a cane or hopping around. Good for him?
Also he's short as fuck lmao. Malnutrition in childhood and rampant abuse will stunt a person's growth, who would've thought...

Was talking about her to my friend Kar and xe made me notice that hey, she's very much heading into nephandi territory, and to be honest... I'm not too surprised or concerned about it. She did become a tiny Slaneesh daemon prince in her original iteration. Becoming a nephandi is the least she could do to stay in character lmao

Been slowly working on my Mage, Ophiel, and it came time to do some outfit variation for her. I was working directly with a blue pen cause that helps me sketch, and I colored with three alcohol markers just because I needed to see some values. Working on outfits helps me understand what the character is like, usually - a reminder of the years I spent doing costume design in school.

The first outfit is actually a better variation of what I'd originally made for her. Considering that she, as a character, started as a Lord Kakophonist, I wanted to have something that would make you think "ah yes of course. Slaneesh had a hand in this". The tattoos used to be eyes and tentacles, to kinda reflect this, and she used to have three braid (which got cut down to two). After establishing a general style for her, I just started to think about what she does, and what she does is she frequents her city's nightlife quite happily - and she fights. She is not a good person; she has a history of trading her services (beating people up) in exchange for varied substances, and she does so cheerfully, because she is so goddamn bored all the time, and the rush of adrenaline makes her feel alive. (I made a joke, with friends, that's she's like Zenos if Zenos was poor and had substance abuse issues. They're kinda similar on that end.)
Second outfit is what she wears at work; she works at a music store named the Timelost Records (lmao), and she just. Doesn't care enough to put on her face or look the part, not in the day. All of her efforts go towards her interests, which tend to be her next fix of 'feeling alive'. Hence, she just puts her hair up and out of her face, wears clothes that cover her up, and minds her own business.
Third fit is what I like to call the "Arcanum clothes", mostly cause I wanted to give her cute business casual clothes that would fit in an Arcanum setting. Granted, I only know of the Arcanum through h:tp, so maybe that's not a good guideline lmao. Still, I like her in these quite a lot, and the tips of her braids being little horns feels very on point.
Last one is just... I spent years drawing haute couture for school projects. I needed to put her in a fancy dress - and considering that her bestie is a Tzimisce with very specific dress codes when they hang out, I thought itd be best to give her something that fit his tastes as well. Granted, as long as she can wear her boots and gloves she's happy - and the lace under the dress helps with making him rethink biting through fabric.

Miscellaneous Hollises from the past few months. I drew the let's take ibuprofen one back in February, I think. I like seeing that I've become better at drawing her. The Morpho books helped a lot (thank you to friend Spade for recommending them).
Hollis Marlowe is my gangrel in the vtm campaign I'm playing with, and she used to be a fisherwoman. She was 58 years old at the time of her Embrace. As for any mutations brought by her clan bane, she takes her inspiration from arctic animals (most of all, polar bears).
She has a Famulus called the Seaghoul. It's a seagull who is a ghoul.
