Name: Anna Irving Age: 23 Preferred pronouns: She/her/hers Position: Caretaker/Cook Brief history: As I’m currently expecting my own, I’m hoping that working with children will give me some much needed experience. I did have some experience working with children back when I was held in the Human Ranch, but that situation was very different. It mostly involved keeping them quiet so they weren’t punished by our captors. I’m hoping for something more positive here, though.

Despite the prejudice of my home world, Sylvarant, I consider all humans and nonhuman people to be… well… people. Whatever their background or heritage.

I also have experience cooking. I grew up on a lake, so fresh water seafood is my specialty. I can prepare most simple meals, but I haven’t cooked in bulk before.

As my world is very primitive in comparison to this one, it may be hard to find things for your background check. I believe the Desians may have records on me, but that will likely just be information on their experiment and things like my vitals.

When I was 15, there was an incident in which I had to take care of either other children in a life or death situation as well. While I have no children of my own, I’m very patient and understanding and I’ve been told I have a calming demeanor.

I’ve lived in the city on and off for about a year and a half and so I know how to navigate despite my blindness should an emergency occur and the children must be taken elsewhere. I’m also quite confident in my ability to protect the children should that come up.

I’m very knowledgeable about many things such as history, language, math, science and reading. I can also assist children who are in need of special care when it comes to blindness.

Name: Micaiah Age: 23 Preferred pronouns: She/her Position: Caretaker and/or infirmary staff Brief history: I know what it’s like to live on the streets, and I even raised a young boy into adolescence while doing so. I’m not sure I would perform as well with large groups of kids, but I am told that I am very good at keeping calm and I wish to help if you believe I would be able to.

I’ve retained some of my ability to predict the future, which could come in handy here. Unfortunately, I have lost my healing abilities, but I am still very familiar with the basics of tending to injuries and wounds.

Hive City has far more diversity than what I am familiar with, but I still try my best to understand and believe in everyone, even if their physical features, behaviors, or opinions differ greatly from my own.

I currently work at Tinkerbulls, an all-vegetarian diner in Sector 006, as an entertainer on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. I am not currently affiliated with any other organization within Hive City.

The children I work with often are raised with deeply-ingrained family politics and ideologies that are always left at the door, and many of them had powers unique to their family bloodlines, so I’m no stranger to adapting to different situations and abilities. Helping children grow into the best version of themselves they want to be is important to me. I also helped in the upbringing of a particularly shunned child in our village, so I have some experience with general caretaking as well.

Brief history: I’ve taken care of children before, and I’ve even been a father figure for a few children who are no longer in the city. I’m also the leader of one of the many factions in the city, and I’m more than willing to offer jobs to any of the older children. I can teach them how to defend themselves, El forbid they ever need to.

I know you. We’ve never met, I mean, but you check out.

Please don’t offer jobs to any of the older children. I can’t stress this enough. Please leave that at the door. When you come in, please be Raven-niisan, who loves them dearly and will play his bass for them, not Raven, Leader of the Crow Mercenaries.

I understand if this sounds very harsh, but I grew up in a soldier factory. To be– to be blunt.

We’ll be the last. This will not be one. I know it’s not what you mean but I’d like to make that clear from the get-go. If any of our children want a job from you, please allow them to approach you outside of the grounds.
