😭 In 24 hours time I will have watched the finale (it's released in England at around 2:10am tomorrow morning). I've been reading spoilers from America though (it aired at midnight last night for them) and I'm not sure what I'm going to think... At least there's book 10 still to come out 😅

I cannot offer you great wealth or Italy but I can offer you my love, and my devotion, and my hope to build a family one day.
Mary Bennet & Tom Hayward in The Other Bennet Sister (2026) played by Ella Bruccoleri & (Dónal Finn)
As someone who has never seen any rendition of P&P and has no plans to, as soon as I heard the premise of this show I just knew I had to tune in!!! And I'm so glad I did!!!
The characterisation of Mary absolutely shines above everything else. She was quirky, charming, and so damn real, especially when addressing her insecurities. I just loved how she was written, she truly was the highlight!
Not to mention the romance was splendid and the yearning was magnificent!! Sometimes you just gotta step out of your little bubble and go do what's best for you, and you'll find that whatever it is you are looking for will come find you instead :)

Episode 8 | The Other Bennet Sister
"I cannot offer you great wealth or Italy. But I can offer you my love and my devotion and my hope, to build a family one day.... I have spent my life on the outside of things, but with you, I am in the middle of it all."
his face when she presses against his chest is like that flash you see in your brain before writing an entire story just to include that fraction of a moment - the joy, the relief, the rightness of finally having her where she belongs, with him
