Why am I so sore?
So tempting but is staying in bed really worth the sprints…such a hard decision.
Well, the way I think of it -
If you don't feel you can do the sprints today and you push yourself, you won't be able to do them tomorrow either.

We're Not Gonna Take It || Ciel & Michael
She was here. Good. Well, this plan sure was starting far more smoothly than he had first anticipated. Whispering, he motioned to the table. “There’s a datapad on that table, I have one of my own. Pick it up – It’ll be our mean of communication.” He began, pushing himself to sit straight upon the bed, despite the discomfort he was clearly having, but seeing the wheelchair made him smile. “I see that you’ve thought of it beforehand, don’t worry about convincing me because I’ll use it without you having to ask. I’m daring, not foolish.” He whispered again with a lazy smile before he scanned the table for a syringe a new acquaintance of his generously left for him; one shot of painkiller. Better to make use of it than waste it now, right?
“So here’s the plan. There’s only one main exit. Spot anything odd there?” He tested her, chuckling briefly before he answered the question himself anyway. “There’s only one main exit. Everything has its back doors, only trick is how to find and operate it.” He zoomed into a blueprint on his datapad, showing it to her afterwards. “See here? That is our golden ticket. Problem is that we’re on the second basement floor, and the door would be in the ground floor, obviously. There will also be locks, eyes, and cameras. Luckily, a good friend of mine recently showed me a loophole in these things, said it was lack of balance in security system and blah blah blah. I only see it as one thing, lockpicking.” Once again, he grinned.
“Statistically, it wouldn’t be possible if I do this alone – because I wouldn’t be able to manipulate the cameras and locks while being watched now, can I?” He said rhetorically, still keeping his voice low but loud enough so she could hear him. “Your part is to distract the eyes, and wait for my mark. It could be by any means, face to face or not. If found out, be casual. Pretend you’re trying to find the bathroom or something. Once I have disabled the cameras and gain access to the lift, I’ll play casual until you made it there and we can aboard the thing. Lose your tail first if you think you’re being followed. From there, we’ll have a second problem. Opening the back door isn’t going to be easy, but that’s where this phase comes in…” He zoomed into another part of the digital blueprint. “Behold, the janitor’s closet. Lucky for us, it won’t be having a high-tech lock. After all, it really is just a closet.” He chuckled lightly. “We’ll make use of the spare uniform stored there, and walk out of the place like a boss, you following so far?”
Gingerly picking up the data pad as her partner instructed once he agreed to use the wheelchair, Ciel's vivid eyes intently watched Micheal's own pad as he began to debrief her on the mission. Soaking in his words like a sponge, the usually verbal female stood silent as she nodded when appropriate and tried her best to remember every detail. Allowing the left corner of her mouth to pull up lightly, the blonde's smirk only grew as his plan grew more and more elaborate. 'Wow, he had really put some thought into this,' she cooed within her mind as her body weight shifted from one leg to the other and her attention remained on the boy before her.
Stifling a laugh into a gentle giggle as the brunet finished his debriefing, Ciel could just feel that this was going to be fun. Never normally being one to pull pranks or 'breaking' the rules, the blonde was surprised by the rush her adrenaline was providing and the excitement that pumped through her veins. Who knew being 'bad' could be so fun?
"I've got it so far... The only question is how big you want my distraction to be. Not many know, but I can be quite the actress." Her smirk slowly growing into a larger smile and her voice barely raised above a whisper, Ciel stood with her hands now on her hips. "What's next, Cap?"
We're Not Gonna Take It || Ciel & Micheal
As the commotion of the med bay began to even out and the night grew late, Ciel laid silently on her bed as her mind silently counted through the minutes. With eyes shut only to serve a farce to the med bay staff, the young cadet's heart began to race in anticipation as her mind prepared for the events that were to be held within the next few moments. But luckily for Ciel, she was not connected to a heart monitor so her devious plans were remained a secret from the ever prying staff.
Intently listening to the movement of the nurses and the volunteers, the blonde's bright eyes flashed open as the hour read 2100; the number of echoing footsteps dramatically dropping. After stealthily obtaining a med bay staffing schedule, the cadet knew that the turning of the hour was a shift change as well as a thinning of the staff, thus it was the time to strike.
Skillfully pulling her feet to the ground without a sound, Ciel moved aggressively cautious as she moved with purpose but did all that she could not to make a sound. Quickly making her way through the almost eerily empty halls, the blonde paused momentarily as a wheelchair into view, grabbed the apparatus, then continued on her way. Eventually finding her way to the bed of her partner in crime, the cadet smiled subtly as she silently approached his bed. Gently tapping his shoulder three times in a staccato manner, Ciel quietly waited for him to stir from his bed; the wheelchair prepared if he, by some odd chance, would actually agree to use it.
Aye, I suppose that’s true.
Understandable. Although, don’t you want to get out of this place, right now? I have a plan, but I need someone I can trust… in order to make it happen. Think about it, we’d be saving meds for people who actually want and need it, plus we’ll get to walk out of this place, today. What do you say?
Um, well... I mean - well - I really don't like it here...
Okay, I'm in. What is your plan?
Possibly.
If you were able to do that, I’d personally give you an award for being the greatest contortionist I’ve ever seen.
If I could do that, I don't think I would have been placed in Accensus.
As well as misplaced metal fragments, but oh well.
What can I say, I hate this place. Don’t you?
At least we made it. Right?
I have a really hard time using the word 'hate', but I could do without the smell and the inability to leave as I please...
Well I really don’t, and you don’t look too good yourself, lass.
You can have it if you want, in return of pulling it off me, fair enough?
Well, falling ceilings tend to have this effect, I guess.
As much as I would love to help, I'll make due. I've already had the nurses on my case once today, I don't think they will be as kind the second time around.
[She wraps the bandages gently around the wound and smiles as she finishes taping it down.] All done. How’d you get out of there? Sounds like a rough spot to be in. Luckily I was positioned away from the blast, others weren’t so lucky.
[Ciel smiles gently as she turns back to Thea.]Thank you, Thea. You are too kind.
[She subtly readjusts her position as the feels out the new wrapping and softly continues.] The first responders were very generous with their time and gently pulled the pieces off one by one. And I'm glad that you came from the incidents unscathed... One less injured person is always a positive.
Seriously. I’m completely, perfectly fine. [shifts to rise, winces] Agh, bloody hell…
…I’m alright. Can I pull these IVs off now? I really need to get out of here.
If they gave them to you, you must need them.
Some didn't get them.
Med Bay Blues || Open
Her face set in an expression of placid concentration, Arden carried the metal tray full of gauze over to where she had been ordered to by one of the school’s primary physicians. The med bay was currently full of commotion, as a handful of students and personnel were being treated in the wake of the malfunction that had occurred in one of the simulation rooms. After the news of the accident and reports of some injuries had been announced, Arden had done the first thing that came to mind- she was sure that the personnel of the med bay could use an extra hand right now, and volunteering there was the only way she could think of to help. She wasn’t entirely sure what had happened, but judging from the nasty cuts and bruises and even a sprain or two that she had seen around the room, it was probably lucky that no one had been seriously injured.
Cannisters of biofoam lined a metallic shelf above her head and glinted in the flourescent lighting of the med bay; Arden had always been intrigued with the efficiency and effectiveness of biofoam’s potential to heal severe injuries, but this occasion didn’t merit the use of the such a resource. From what she could see, it was mostly stitches and bandages- hopefully, it would be only that. As another medical officer called for her to bring over some anit-bacterial fluid, she quickly grabbed the bottle from the cabinet and walked briskly over to him. She delivered it and awaited for any further instructions, but he dismissed her for now- momentarily preoccupied, Arden didn’t notice the other figure standing a few steps behind her as she backed away from the cot where the doctor was treating a cadet. The light bump caught her off guard and she spun around sharply, already apologizing. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention- are you okay? Do you need any help?” she asked, her eyes looking them up and down.
On a normal day Ciel wasn't really one to complain, but after taking a small trip under a pile of rocks, even she found it hard to keep up her usual constant smile. It wasn't because she was in bad spirits - oh no - she was actually quite happy to hear that everyone survived the explosion, she was just having a less than pleasant experience dealing with the pain radiating from her injuries from her small adventure. While she had an easy time assessing that she was, by no means, the worst injuries the med bay was dealing with, she was still expecting, or at the ever least, hoping to have a constant supply of pain killers - however small. Sadly, this was not the case. So, instead of waiting for the nurses to have to take care of her, she took matters into her own hands.
Gently swiveling her body so that her bare feet could meet the cold, med bay floor, Ciel let out a few grunts of pain as she pulled herself to her feet. Pausing to catch her breath as the stitches on her stomach cried out in pain, the blonde eventually began to make progress until another body bumped into her own. Once more, on a normal day, Ciel was quiet coordinated but, today, her weakened body was far from that.
Waving her arms frantically to catch her balance and her eyes squinting as her injured muscles tensed out of surprise, Ciel eventually regained her balance with the help of her hospital bed. "N-no, no. It is my fault... My fault." She paused as she tried her best to contain an inward wheeze of pain, her eyes trying their best to hide her pain and a gentle smile doing the same. "But, I was wandering to find some pain medication. My nurse has yet to provide me any beyond my initial dose..."
I know. They believe that you shouldn’t get painkillers unless you truly need them. Go figure.
I can help you with those though. They have an abundance of bandages here.
Well, I guess there are others who need it more than me.
Oh, wonderful. I would do it myself but they are in an awkward place on my back and shoulder. And I would rather it gets done correctly.
