it's confirmed that lance was in fact in israel. i could potentially look past him meeting a zionist, but him actually being in the country while a genocide caused by that country is happening a few miles away? that is totally diabolical and unforgivable. i struggled a lot with the news, and as someone who was a diehard lance fan 24 hours ago, i didn't want to accept it. but i have to hold people accountable, even my favourites.

he actively, with full knowledge of what israel is doing, travelled there and met with a zio. 44 miles away from tel aviv, (which is where it's assumed he was) there is active genocide and mass famine being caused by israel. children are dying. women are dying. men are dying. innocent people are dying. and he apparently doesn't care.

i have however seen evidence that lance was only there as it was a layover. if that's true, it's still iffy but it's forgivable. but if it wasn't a layover, i can't support someone who does that. it's downright evil.

i will not be removing my posts about lance, or my strollonso fanfics on ao3. they were all posted before the news. however, these old works have no reflection on my current views.

i saw that, and as much as i desperately want it not to be true i have to acknowledge that it could be. if that was his plane, and he truly was holidaying in israel, i can't defend him any longer. holidaying in israel while children and people starve just miles away is despicable and i hope that lance would never stoop that low. if it's confirmed by a reliable source, then that's it done for me. because that is downright horrifying

after thinking for a while about the recent gossip about lance being seen with yael shelbia allegedly in israel, i decided to make this post to 1) seperate fact from fiction and 2) share my own personal opinion.

yes, lance was spotted with yael shelbia, who is an israeli model/actor, and a zionist. yes, she was in the idf. what's not confirmed is that the photo was taken in israel. it's also not confirmed that this makes lance a zionist, either. lance does follow her on instagram, which leads to the rumours that they are dating. any rumours that are not confirmed, i will not acknowledge. there is 0 solid proof that they are actually dating.

while i don't condone lance's confirmed actions (hanging out with a zionist) everything isn't just black and white. you can't stick the "zionist" label on lance because he was seen with yael in an unconfirmed country. it's essentially similar to labelling him a zionist just because he is jewish.

i will not get rid of my lance merch, or anything like that. if it's confirmed that he is a zionist, i will stop being a fan of his. but this is not true as it stands. i really don't know what i'll do if it turns out he does support israel, but yeah. in the end, i don't know him. his choices are his own to make and if you don't agree with them, that's also your choice. i think it would be a shame and a real blow to most of his fans, but that's just the way the world works. we don't know these people, and we should always bear that in mind when we are disappointed by them.

on this ending note, i would like to clarify that i stand with palestine. while of course i recognise that there has been extreme atrocities on both sides of the conflict, and i condemn the violent actions of hamas, i just want to make it known that i do not support israel whatsoever.

i never wanted to get this political on my blog, but as a lance/strollonso blogger i did feel like i wanted to speak out about the allegations against lance, rather than ignoring them and pretending everything is normal. i would appreciate it if it's remembered that i am not well-educated on the whole history of the israel-palestine conflict, this is just my personal opinion. thank you if you read this, and i'll be posting my normal stuff from now on 🫶

i'm far from the biggest lewis fan but hearing him call himself useless and that he drove terribly is really sad. i think it's clear he's not in the best headspace right now to produce good results, he's struggled all year so far. it's so sad because, you know, he's a 7 time world champion. we know he's an incredible driver, one of the best ever. "probably need to change driver". i hope not. i don't know what lewis is struggling with and neither does anyone, including himself. personally, i don't think it's his driving. he won the sprint in china, he's shown flashes of performance. understandably, to have your teammate on pole and you in p12 is a massive kick, but i hope he can recover and both himself and ferrari can improve things, and he can get his confidence back. i don't want to see lewis leave f1 because of ferrari
