Mighty Sports Holds Off UAE National Team
Continuing the mighty defense in the 2019 Dubai International Basketball Championship (DIBC), the Lamar Odom-fueled Mighty Sports holds off UAE National Team from the scene; with the 86-78 winning score in the fourth quarter.
The opposing UAE National Team was quite difficult to beat as they are pretty solid during the game; compared to Mighty Sports which are composed of imports. When it comes to chemistry and organized game play, UAE has shown uniformed defense against the PH representative.
It was heartwarming that the whole gymnasium was composed of 80% Pinoy fans; cheering Mighty Sports all the way, and has been the team’s source of energy.
Randolph Morris (RM) started scoring with a sweet outside jump shot, all the way to showing off his 3 pointers. Jeremiah Gray (JG) came in swing-delivered showing his arse from the outside. While showing off his go-to shots, Justin Brownlee has consecutively capping points for Mighty as early as in the 1st quarter.
Mighty Sports performed a fast movement on feet and was able to play on UAE’s open strategy with a waiting shooter from the outside. Also, the 19-year old Juan Gomez De Liaño (JGDL) showed off with a nice crossover and layups, leaving the first quarter to the PH team with a score of a 29-24 over UAE.
It was a nice impression from the first quarter with 75%s shot from the field, 12 out of 16, 9 out of 10 from the two-point field goal, with Morris’ perimeter shots. Odom structure’s Mighty Sports towering defense against the giants of UAE, blocking the opposing team to score, with a 49-36 still in favor of Mighty.

Morris’ currently still on fire by making the PH crowd wooed after a flaming jump with an extra statistic rebound and a slam.
The PH representative team had a lot of fast break attempts; they were pushing the ball immediately; making sure of stuffing, forcing UAE keep shooting from the outside. Score this time for Mighty Sports and UAE: 78-58.
You can see how the chemistry has built up between the team; by showing good defense and rebounds in this quarter and by allowing all players to touch the ball before a nice 3 pointer shot. Gray got himself in trouble with UAE but was able to recover after a powerful chase-down block. In this quarter, kudos to a smooth connection showed off by Brickman and Brownlee; giving UAE a digging dunk. Ginebra import Brownlee made the crowd made the whole gym vibrate with cheers.
