Of course, I've just learned this today that
There is also Unity, which uses C# as a scripting language for developing games for multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox, PS3 and Wii – PS4 is coming very soon.
and this is great!Â
Overall, I would prefer to choose a language based on the type of the project. During the development, there are performance issues lying behind the application on the machine level, and there are another performance issues live in front of the application between the UI and the business logic. A good language should allow software developers to spend most of the time on constructing the algorithm for the later ones instead of micro managing the former ones. At least, that's the part I'd really enjoy in programming. :) I haven't experienced too many DSL, but I guess one more GPL goes cross platform is the blessing of software developers.
