The great lock-in (day 1)
Exactly three weeks till my first exam.
That is 28 days.
That is 1 week times 3.
That is 3/4 of a month.
I was procrastinating because I felt overwhelmed with the studies, this is the last year of uni and I feel a lot of pressure since i feel like I have a huge responsibility to not let these years of sacrifice go down the drain.
THEN I realise that I am actually not behind???? That I'm actually quite on time!? I finished all notes and now I started practice tests for exams while all the students I talked to are still starting to study.
I only have 4 exams I usually have 6-8 which most likely means I ended up thinking that I'm behind because I did less study time then I usually do hahaha. The reason why I have less is cus I took some in January (which made me burnt out hence procrastination now) but no more! I now realised I'm actually doing well and I'm in flowwww.
6 hours done today! Plus 1 hour music practice
-3 practice exam essays
-revision of bio notes
-created a 3 week plan

I finished my big difficult exams and now just have super easy common sense ones that I don't even need to study for. I feel so weird, this always happens to me after exams because I would be on autopilot. I finished them today and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with myself.
Sitting on my desk as though I have to study, I fear this is burn out and cognitive exhaustion. How can I cool down stressing...
Spent all day trying to get a hold of myself to start my thesis... Starting something so vast and new feels very challenging but I know that once i get going I'll get a good flow, just need to feel less intimidated by an empty page.
Did 500 words for my literature review about overview of ASD. I will most likely go back and revise it so many times that my current work won't even be recognizable but that is part of the development.
Pages done: 2 (🥺) baby thesis
05 November 2025
I have officially started my thesis today! Literature review info gathering is going quite great so far, it was difficult to start because I felt so intimidated but now that I started to form some structure I have a clearer picture of what I need to do.
One thing I'm struggling with is wanting to do so much in my life~
Like seriously I don't know if it's even doable, but I want to get straight As again this year. I want to start therapy for reflection. I want to continue learning a new language. I started music theory today and I want to start the Viola! I want to go back to running and walking outside. I want to work more and I want to meet up with my bf more etc etc
I know that I can definitely do all these in theory but the issue is that I waste so much time being tired, traveling to uni and doing the little things. My screen time isn't the worst I removed social media a while ago but I still often get distracted on pinterest or Tumblr or even Google...
What I have done today
School
- Dissertation 1% done? (0 pages technical so far but the literature collection is building up nicely)
- Went to my lecture
Personal
- Challenged myself to start music theory finally
gentle reminder
fall in love with your life. wake up early, buy your favorite coffee, go for walks, eat good food, wear what makes you feel confident, and listen to your favorite music. purposefully create these small moments that will make you fall in love with your life.
