“Definitely not the only one.” Kara smiles, as her eyes widen. “Erm, Earth?” She let out a nervous laugh and cleared her throat. “Nice to meet you Laurel-wait, I’ve heard that name..Barry mentioned it to me. Oh, I was just walking around the city and might have taken a wrong turn, and somehow ended up here.” She furrows her eyebrows.

“Good!” She cheered wit a smile. “Oh yeah! Sorry, I’m a bit frazzled still from court.” She explained. It was true. This last case was horrible, and she was still reeling from the judge’s decision. “You know, Barry?” She tilted her head to the side still smiling. “It’s a pleasure, friend of a friend!” She teased. “It’s quite alright! How do you know Barry?”

keith’s only been here for a few days, which is what he plans on using as an excuse for getting lost.  it’s not like he meant to walk into someone’s office.  still, the sound of someone speaking - he couldn’t quite make out what - was what drew him in, and he hadn’t intended to startle the other. “sorry,” he said bluntly, “what were you talking about?”

The attorney turned to face the man. She wasn’t sure if she had seen him before or not. There was something different about him though. Maybe he was another attorney? She wasn’t sure. “It’s quite alright.” She shook her head and laughed. “I just lost a case. My second one since moving here, and I’m just reeling from it.”

“Who were you looking for?” She asked with a small smile. “Maybe I can help you find them?”

        “sorry – uh, there’s nothing, i just must have not focused on where i was going and got lost,” jay apologises, the tips of his ears going slightly pink in his embarrassment. you’d think after having been here for months (even if he did leave for a bit), he’d know where things were, but looks like he still needed to focus instead of wandering off.

Laurel smiled and nodded. “It’s perfectly fine. Can I help you find where you meant to be going?” Her heels clicked against the cold, hard floor. The woman grabbed up her Chanel bag and pointed to the door. “Come on, let’s get you to the right place.”

   Elena forced herself to nod, and look the female in the eye. “I’m fine. It’s alright, I just had a rough spin that’s all. I’m probably just dehydrated.” She’d always hated worrying people, stranger or not.

Laurel watched her carefully. “Rough spin?” Hearing her speak, she moved a bit closer. “You’re dehydrated?” She held her hand out. “Come on. Let’s get you some water or something, alright?”

“You know what? So am I, they need to at least get read their rights and some questioning due to their wrongs on this Planet.” She crosses her arms and makes a face. “Sorry, I got a bit lost and then overheard you start talking, oops. Hi, I’m Kara Danvers.” She smiles and sticks out her hand.

She smiled and nodded. “At least someone sees it my way.” The attorney laughed. “What do you mean by this planet?” Her brow cocked up as she moved over to her. “It’s quite alright. I’m Assistant District Attorney Laurel Lance. It’s a pleasure.” She took the girls hand and smiled. “What were you looking for?”

“You know, I am really tired of watching criminals and scumbags get off by some technicality.” She ranted openly in her office not thinking anyone was around. The young attorney spun around and noticed someone standing there. “Jesus! You scared me.” She smiled with a laugh. “How can I help you?”

   “no i’m…. i’m fine,” that was a blatant lie, even to those who didn’t her. elena’s head was pounding against her skull, she really needed sleep. but after resting for over a year, that was extremely hard to come by.

“Are you sure?” She had just met the girl, and she wasn’t quite sure what to do. “If something’s wrong, maybe I can help you?” There was something about the way the other spoke that made her believe she wasn’t okay. Hell, maybe that was just her common knowledge of how she always told people she was fine even if she wasn’t.
