My brain cannot take this.
I will probably reblog this anytime it comes up. I don’t even care if I lose followers because of how long it is.

MITT ROMNEY HOW DARE YOU BRING A HANDKERCHIEF ON STAGE
This gif has been reblogged over 70,000 times. The official election tumblr also posted a clip of a video without fact checking. The overwhelming majority of those notes are from people quick to believe anything they see and villanize anyone with differing opinions. To attack someone on his/her facts is one thing, to propagate a rumor is another thing entirely. I’m ashamed that the official election blog of tumblr would not fact check and refuses to remove or recant the rumor in face of facts that it was a HANDKERCHIEF. Those on either side of the aisle who refuse to acknowledge truths when faced with facts that oppose their ideologies have sacrificed all personal merit. And a blog like the official election tumblr then sacrifices all journalistic principles (truthfulness, objectivity, impartiality, fairness) and holds no further value. Research: Video of him later wiping his face with said folded cheating notes (handkerchief) Professional video analysis: “The size, thickness, and overall dimensionality when he first walks up to the podium is consistent with a handkerchief, and not with a single note card,” continuing, “The elemental movement and mechanics [later on in the video] also suggest it’s absolutely a handkerchief he picks up around his face.” The huffington post confirms it was a hanky, as does US news and NBC, CNN and FOX all confirm as well as many noting he never looked down.
I could care less what anyone thinks of me for pointing out the truth and people’s ignorance. We can all learn from tumblr that you can never believe everything you see and hear. This is applicable to ALL of the situations that life throws at us. We must go through life with an open mind, questioning everything we see and never becoming complacent. I leave you with relevant quotes. “If you set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.” - Margaret Thatcher “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled.” - Mark Twain
