DAN220 Walk cycle
I figured for this walk cycle that the more exaggerated it was, the better. I imagined a very cliche “bad guy” sneak overall, aimed at younger children. I think I was doing well with it, but I definitely could have put more time into tweaking it.
As you can see from my earlier blog posts, I found some reference footage for the walk cycles and identified and drew out some of the key poses to help me base my walk cycle off of.
Anticipation and follow through are two of the most used principles in my current walk cycle I think, mostly because it’s so exaggerated.
After I posted my progress, I needed to fix up the walk cycle seeing as the starting position was standing still and didn’t loop. Mostly I just needed to flesh out more of my walk, but overall the walk was relatively well done! Which is nice.
If I had more time, I would have liked to add a little bit of variety and more character to the walk, and to fix up a couple of little things that have been bugging me (mostly things like the feet looking a bit off)
