      It was his place to do this, they were the closest. There had been rough times, things had been said between them that could never be taken back. She deserved a friend though, he WANTED to be that friend. God, he really did love her, didn’t he?

      She shook her head, still not facing him for she knew to turn and to look him in the eyes would only seal this as the absolute truth. And she would refuse to accept any of it as truth, reaching up to cover her mouth.

      “This ain’t funny, Lucky.” Once more, she stated how she was refusing to believe this, swallowing a lump in her throat, “I---I don’ appreciate this...!” She could hear the tears in his voice, but still she wouldn’t listen. No--- it wasn’t that she wouldn’t listen. She could ehar loud and clear. But she would deny what she was hearing over and over, her voice getting quieter the more she spoke.

      Just the thought of her older brother being gone---- She didn’t even want to think about never seeing him or hearing him or talking with him. His advice, his friendship, he was--- he was her brother. He was special. Both her siblings were people she could run to when she felt like everything was breaking a part. So--- if it was breaking apart now, what was she going to do...? Here she was--- being told his by Lucky. Lucky, who she had a rocky relationship with. Someone who she verbally tore apart--- and was torn apart by him in return. What could she do?
