Egyptian brunch at Maha's was amaaaazing!! 🇪🇬😍I loved the food and the people working there were extremely sweet, even while trying to turn tables as fast as possible to accomodate the never ending line outside (on a regular Monday morning 🤪!!). Special thanks to Elvie for being a slow eater with excellent taste in food👍🏾!! And now, the Food 🤤Foole (a traditional fava beans breakfast); date cheese sandwiches and basturma scrambled eggs; and honey-cardamom lattes! (at Maha's Fine Egyptian Cuisine)

I’ve been practicing making the perfect flakey, layered chapati, but I’ve still got a way to go! I got these (along with a tomato and coconut based chicken curry) from Nyama Mama. Weirdly enough they were even better the following day! #chapatigoals (at Village Market)

My whole trip to India was amazing, but Jasleen's mehndi ceremony was the best part! 🌟💯The colors, the henna and, of course, the food!! 😋😍Indian food has had a major influence on East African and South African cuisine - samosas, chapatis, bunny chow and all sorts of curries. So I was glad to stuff myself with some authentic desi snacks, like raj kachori, vadas, gol guppas and papri chaat! Last, but not least, dosas!! - a Kasara family favorite from our time in Mussoorie!🇮🇳❤️ (at Chandigarh)

Swahili breakfast of mahamri & barazi made for me by the kind and generous and oh so hilarious @tallashmisskantai!! Mahamri are a more spicey version of my favorite snack - mandazi (i.e. puff puff, bofrot, beignet). Barazi is a coconutty 🌴stew of gungo beans. Will need to replicate at home and savor with a cup of chai!! 🇰🇪🇹🇿 (at Karen, Nairobi Area, Kenya)

#mango vs #mango vs #mango! Be it #haitian 🇭🇹 or Ataulfo or .... some Floridian variety (Kent/Hayden/Tommy Atkins ... it's hard for me to tell them apart ☺️☺️☺️). I ❤️ them all! But I'm trying to figure out which would work best in a creamy #popsicle.
