C#: Classes and Objects

I finally FINALLY FINALLY found a very very useful diagram that helped me explain how classes and objects work in C#! Or just in general for any OOP language really!

Because I've had people say "Oh Classes are just the blueprints of Objects," but I never understood what that really meant! So, I sat down today and looked everywhere for a diagram easy to understand on this concept AND I FOUND ONE.

It is only now, after 5 months into my apprenticeship and a previous 2 years of self-taught coding, that I finally understand what Classes and Objects are in programming.

And here is the diagram! :

This is how I learnt it: Class lists the properties (the fields (which are just variables in classes)) and methods down. Creating an object lets you add the property values, methods staying the same. I always see methods as a "doing" thing, a bit like the verbs of a sentence!

In C# it would look - there are two ways apparently, and the first one is recommended when dealing with lots of objects :

but yeah! If someone later says "oh no that's wrong by the way," I honestly will dig up a hole and die in it because I would honestly give up XD
