A private school pupil was stabbed to death by a teenage boy in south London after she rejected flowers from him, The Telegraph understands.
Witnesses said the 15-year-old girl, named locally as Eliyanna, was travelling to school in Croydon when a row broke out between herself and her friends and other pupils from a local school.
The argument is said to have spilled out of the number 60 bus and onto the pavement outside a shopping centre, where the schoolgirl was attacked by a young man âwielding a sword-like knifeâ and âwearing all blackâ at around 8.30am on Wednesday.
Paramedics rushed to the town centre to treat the teenager, who was described by locals as having âa fantastic future ahead of herâ, but she died at the scene.
One girl was seen being held back, screaming: âThatâs my best friendâ as she tried to push past the crowds to reach the wounded teenager.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy nearby around 75 minutes after the attack took place. The suspect and the victim are understood to have been known to each other.
Chevanice Thomas, from Croydon, told how her friend Apple witnessed the girl being attacked. Relaying her friendâs account, she said: âHe gave her the flowers and she threw them away. Her friends all dispersed when she went down. After that the boy apparently stabbed her, blood gushing out and the police put pressure on it. She died on the spot.â
Staff at the Leonardo Hotel on Wellesley Road, where the incident took place, rushed to the scene. Beldine Kutima, who works there, said: âOne of our duty managers went to get the bus, but she came back in screaming and grabbing towels from the back room. She ran out there with bin bags and towels. She was crying and in shock.â
Michael Fyffe, an estate agent who was on his way to work when he saw the aftermath of the attack, said: âTwo of the girlâs friends were there. One of the girls wastrying to get past the crowds to the body. Everyone was trying to hold her back to let the ambulance crew do their jobs.â
James Watkins, a youth worker, said friends informed the teenagerâs family, who were unable to get to their daughter before she died. âThey were unable to say goodbye,â he told The Telegraph. âThey were in shock and devastated. It doesnât feel real to them.â
[....]
The teenager was a pupil at Old Palace of John Whitgift school, a 134-year-old girlsâ school that charges fees of up to ÂŁ19,350 a year.
Anthony King, from My Ends, an organization that aims to reduce violence, told The Telegraph he had spoken to her family in the aftermath of the attack.
He said: âThe family and extended family are widely devastated, heartbroken. I cannot articulate the sound, the tears and the genuine heartbreak at what took place this morning.
âShe had a bright future ahead of her, she was in GCSE year, Year 11, and she was an absolutely incredible young lady, very articulate, really had a fantastic future ahead of her.â
iâm so tired of males i swear âŚâŚ..why canât they all just die and leave women tf alone. tired of seeing these stories over and over again.

If you want another reason why birth rates are so low. After reading this, I donât see why women would want to get involved with men. Itâs dangerous and there is no benefit that canât be substituted with a safer alternative.
i do not care about menâs rights.
to act as if menâs problems were and are caused by anything and anyone but men is intellectually dishonest or plain stupid. the patriarchy this, the patriarchy that. i am fully aware that the patriarchy does not 100% benefit men, but that doesnât mean it wasnât designed to. men have higher suicide rates, are constantly fucked over in divorce and alimony cases, blah blah, but whose fucking fault is that? men will complain about child custody but will turn around and advocate for the fact that women are naturally more inclined to care for children, that weâre softer and, quite frankly, just breeding machines. men are in the light they hate specifically because of the light they placed women in; you hate that youâre not allowed to show weakness, but youâre the ones who actively spout that idea. i have never known a woman to tell me or a man that men shouldnât cry, but iâve seen many boys go around telling their buddies to suck it up â so whoâs really the problem? nobody can care for you if you do not first care about yourself, and thatâs why i ultimately donât care anymore.
women owe you nothing. we built, and continue to build on, feminism for us. instead of complaining about what men donât get, start providing it for yourselves. open up to your friends, and to the friends who will be opened up to, donât just dismiss it as weakness. donât immediately run to women, start with your community. women have to start by supporting each other before we can go out and make a difference, so, men, start by supporting each other.
despite men not caring about men, i can confidently say that i have never known a man to care about women. some care about a woman, sure, maybe even a few, but never women in general. i have never known a man, in his own time, to speak about the injustices women face and how he contributes to it, i have never known a man to even think of that. i will not go ahead and tweet âmenâs suicide rates are higherâ when you refuse to even think about it yourselves. menâs issues are only ever brought up to silence women, or lower their voices, and itâs disgusting. i refuse to speak up for someone who only speaks over me.
men have issues, but there are no âmenâs issuesâ. you have issues because you are a human being (unfortunately) and we have womenâs issues because we are not treated as such.
i do not give a fuck about âmenâs rightsâ, âmenâs issuesâ because 1) they donât exist, and, 2) i will not give my time to something you yourself donât see as a problem, you fucking idiots.
Gymnast Kara Welsh fatally shot at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
A man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnast, Kara Welsh, in an apartment off campus in Wisco
Another man snuffed out the bright future of a talented gymnast Kara Welsh, 21
The man who murdered 3 lesbians in Buenos Aires immediately tried to kill himself afterwards⌠the âmale suicide rateâ is a big joke
russia is holding 403 Ukrainian women captive, including many civilians.
There are women whose fate is unknown since 2014. Ukraine constantly appeals to the occupiers with the demand to return captive women, but russia ignores all appeals.
this is why men should be prohibited from being gynecologists we canât trust them
âsometimes i wish feminists didnât fight so hard for our rights. i donât wanna work! lmaoâ âthe feminist leaves my body everytime i have to go to school lolâ
iâve never found those jokes funny tbh đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸ i get that you mean no harm, but these feminists werenât just âwhiningâ, they were being abused, belittled, and degraded, and they fought tirelessly for us to have the opportunities we do now. you wouldnât even be able to âjokeâ like that without those feminists.
also, there are plenty of girls/women throughout the world who would absolutely love to be able to get an education, work on their own, and just be independent.
yes, school is a PAIN in the fucking ass, yes working is difficult as shit but iâm beyond thankful to have the chance to be independent and not need a man in order to live my life
"Sex work is the world's oldest profession-"
*LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER*
Don't rely on men to save you
These men will flee like cockroaches at the sign of danger and leave women and children behind. But yes "superior logical stronger braver sex"
One of the reasons why women were forbidden from going outside under patriarchy was not to just ensure that women stay loyal, modest or the honour culture. It was also to prevent sisterhood among women because sisterhood is very important, it's a very powerful tool, the restrictions on women's freedom to the point of their own circles and friends was to prevent women from realising their capability. It was to abuse women and isolate them from their families. It was to reduce women to f*** toys and to incubators. Everybody recognises that. Sisterhood is detrimental to patriarchy.
The joke about women ruining men's happiness is such a huge projection because men literally go out of their way to shit on everything women love and make women and girls as miserable as possible
