Niko: I was always taught not to trust things that come to you so easily, what can I say? For the record, if my house is on fire I'll be calling 911 anyway, not you, but if you see smoke just make sure you don't shut the water off,sound good?

Caleb: Chloe's talking me into some kind of pool or hot tub, can't remember which one, but you're more than welcomed to fill buckets from it to put your fire out.

“What?” Cori had been scrolling through her phone as Caleb prepared the ice cream, not expecting a conversation to be had. She eyed him carefully as his lips formed a grin, only elevating the handsomeness of his features. What came next came as a surprise to Cori, unsure if he was joking with her as she had been with him. A laugh never came though and she stayed quiet for a few seconds, letting his words sink in. “A real date,” she repeated. Over the years they had hung out plenty of times, never once putting a label on the time they spent together. “Are you expecting me to wear a dress or something?”

Caleb expected a automatic rejection. When it came to Cori he knew it was always a risk. She’d been hurt in the past, he knew it well, knew that some part of her would rather pull away than accept such a gesture. Still it didn’t make him back down. “You can if you want, or you can wear something else.” He wouldn’t push for it if she didn’t want to. “But just so we’re clear I wouldn’t object to you wearing a dress.” He let out a laugh, turning his attention back down to the ice cream bowl before he placed it down in front of her. “You saying yes or am I going to have to go lick my wounds elsewhere?”

Niko: Yeah, she really is. Idk how I managed it, you know? Yet here we are. Thanks and pretty soon we're going to be neighbors but luckily I don't tend to set the house on fire so if you come by you won't have to be working so that's a plus, right?

Caleb: Stars aligned for you and shit. Don't question it just enjoy it. Hey just so we get this out there, if your house is on fire and I'm off the clock you better get the hell out cause I'm not rushing over.

Niko: Yeah, yeah i mean...we spend just about every night together anyway besides when either of us are out of town for work but this is, especially buying a house it's kind of surreal

Caleb: Yeah I get it, big step but you seem sure of it and Mel's a great girl. Really bro, nothing but good wishes for the pair of you.

Niko: So usually, when you move you're supposed to gather up all of your friends to help out, but we're... hiring people to do that for us so I figured I would invite you over for a beer when the time comes instead?

Caleb: Hiring people to do it for you makes it look like you don't have any friends.
