Constructions Series, 2013, folded paper, dimensions varied. Installation views of Land:mark with Armin Mühsam at Greenlease Gallery, Rockhurst University - Kansas City.
I have recently completed several solo and two-person exhibitions and am currently in the process of reorganizing my studio to begin new work. When looking through recent images, I reconnected with these two collages from the Codex Remodeled Series that intervene in the arrangements of found images by altering subverting and adapting their subjects. Using pages from artist catalogues, these two works dissect historical structures to examine their pictorial and material properties. Through this process, the images are re-purposed to establish a new hierarchy of forms that emerge as proposals for tactile dimensional translations.
