so touch me or don't | addison and caleb
Addisonās apartment wasnāt big ā not in the least ā but it was a mess. Bouncing on the balls of her feet, Addison groaned, deciding to not even bother with her ābedroomā area; if you could even call it that. Her bed was a total disaster, but she figured Caleb: 1. Wouldnāt mind and 2. Why would he even be thinking about that? It was sports and beer. Innocent enough, right? Right. So, Addison went back to throwing all of her dirty clothes in her hamper and attempting to put a dent in the chaos that was the mess of notes and papers from school. Eventually she threw them all in a text book and snapped it shut, shoving it into her book bag and sliding it over to her bed.Ā
Dancing goofily, Addison finally went to hunt down some clean clothes. Jesus, she needed to do laundry. Despite how cool Caleb was and how down to Earth he seemed, Addison really wasnāt to keen on him seeing her in a stolen pair of her brotherās sweat pants and an old cut-off high school t-shirt. Yeah. No. Bum was not them impression she was going for today. Finally she found a pair of old jeans, the knees worn down and frayed naturally and from years of wear, as well as the back pockets. There were even paint splatters on the legs from when sheād agreed to help paint the halls of the school rather than taking finals her senior year.
Pulling off her cut off, Addison stood in front of her closet, staring at her options in her sports bra. Sighing, she pulled it off as well and slipped on one of her lacy, white bras and then grabbing an over-sized sweater and pulling it over her head just in time to hear Calebās knock on the door. Squeaking, Addison hurriedly pulled her mess of curls on top of her head and tied it in a messy bun, a few still falling to frame her face. Shuffling to the door, Addison nearly tripped over Pascal, whoād apparently decided to leave his post on the window sill. Grumbling, Addy scooped him up and nuzzled him with her nose.Ā
Finally, she opened the door, beaming at Caleb. āAbout damn time, dude.ā Snickering, she winked, and swung the door open further, gesturing him in and setting Pascal down. āIām apologizing in advance for Pascal. Heāll probably try to love you. Just shove him away and heāll get the hint. Also, food is on itās way. I hope you like Chinese.ā Taking a breath, Addison chuckled and shut the door. āAlso, hi.ā
Caleb lifted a brow as the door finally opened, and he glanced over to see Addy standing with some moggy in her arms - wonderful, a cat. He rolled his eyes at her words, suddenly very glad he'd remembered to take one of his allergy pills before he came. "Says the girl who made me wait out here for five minutes," he retorted, pulling a bit of a face at her.Ā
He nodded as she mentioned someone called Pascal - he presumed that was what she'd named her cat. He ducked under the doorframe as he stepped inside, shooting another glance around, before his eyes came to rest on the petite woman in front of him. "Chinese is great," he replied, giving her a small, crooked smile, a dimple pitting one cheek. "How much do I owe you?"
He dug his wallet out of the buttpocket of his jeans, thumbing it open, ready to grab some notes to cover his half of the food - though honestly, he'd probably eat more than half. Caleb was a human garbage disposal, to put it in simple words. He liked to eat, and he liked to do it a lot. He'd always been like that, since he was a kid - he figured that was why he grew so big.Ā
"Hi," he replied when she finally greeted him, giving her a proper smile now, teeth on show. He'd grown up with fairly crooked teeth, until he'd gotten braces at thirteen. It hadn't been a good look for him, a face full of metal, but it had definitely paid off - he had a nice smile now, when he did show it. Caleb didn't smile too often these days - at least not proper, genuine smiles. Those were few and far between.Ā
