Someone give Joshua Waters a medal for his performance as Phainon. You can tell they put a lot of emotion and thought behind each word they voice for the character. They’re amazing!!

WHAT
(from gabriel warburton's hsr stream the other day)
A collage of some of Peter’s myriad facial expressions.
“I’ve always made funny faces, I guess. It’s just that more people are seeing them now!” - Peter Tork, Flip (1967) “[In Greenwich Village,] Peter had a way about him. I mean, he could soften up the toughest audience. If people didn’t like his serious songs, he would play his funny ones. If they didn’t like his funny ones, he would play romantic ones. If they didn’t like his romantic songs, he would sing his ‘provocative’ ones. Usually, the audience was pretty warmed up by then — but just in case it wasn’t, Peter would throw in a spate of funny gags, followed by a series of the most comic faces one could ever see.” - Bruce Farwell, 16’s The Monkees: Here We Are (1967) “Peter was called into the kitchen for a phone call, after which he made faces at the baby (Jason [Nesmith]).” - article by Judy Sims, Disc & Music Echo, February 1969
hey so universally there needs to be more peter thirst edits. i’ll start us off:
the funniest part of the monkees has got to be davy's completely inaccurate tambourine playing. that thing is just going absolutely WHEREVER it wants
in my canon micky is pan with a male preference and also has like the nastiest crush on mick jagger and he can't even listen to the rolling stones without being devastated that he cant fuck mick jagger
🐒🐒🐒🐒
80’s/90’s peter was when he truely queened out, and i respect that. no more texan men holding him back ✊
FINALLY AFTER HAVING DREAMS FOR MONTHS ABOUT MY LEAST FAVORITE MONKEE I GOT ONE OF MIDDLE AGED PETER YESTERDAY‼️‼️‼️ GOD BLESS AMERICA
monkees in a barrel ◡̈
peter birthday!!! peter birthday!! guys it’s this little freak’s birthday!!!
What’s your favorite Monkees album and why? Bonus question, top 3 songs on that album
gosh now this one’s a tough one! i would have to say my favorite monkees album is P,A,C & Jones!!! i swear there’s not a single bad song on that album. my top 3 songs from that album would probably have to be salesman (mike lead vocals so duh 👅) words (the instrumentals and chimes are so cool i love it) and i guess i’ll have to say don’t call on me i LOVE that one.. (mikes voice nom nom) but gosh there’s so many good ones on that album it really is hard to only pick three. CAN I PICK ALL OF THEM!!!???
THIS WHOLE SEGMENT I WANT HIM.
today is time to think about the 2001 live summer tour version of ‘can you dig it’. peter’s vocals FUCK HARD and will always FUCK HARD.
I drew gwen !!!
Davy: Get over in the position, okay?
Micky: I bet your pardon 🤨
