Welcome to our blog!
Quick about us and boundaries below the cut
We are the Calico Constellation, a queer neurodivergent nonhuman family who share a 20 year old disabled body. We semi-reject plural terms, and instead tend to refer to ourselves as a family and to each other as our others. We have a range of physical and mental disabilities that make communication difficult, so please be patient with us. Please also use tone tags sparingly, as we find their constant use causes us more harm than good. It is also worth noting that all our fictives are very canon divergent. Collectively, we use it/they pronouns and go by the name Calico.
We donât do most online discourse, we are radically inclusive, and we are strongly anti-harassment. If you're sysmed/an endo-denier, think harassing anyone is acceptable, intend to drag us into discourse (especially shipcourse. We have no shipcourse stance. Yes that means we interact with people on both âsidesâ), or you're pissy about the language we do or donât use for ourselves, leave now.
We do not support âkffâ as yâall have misappropriated our terms and harmed our communities. Here is our carrd with an alternative term to âkinningâ as well as a brief description on why kff are harmful. Your experiences are valid, harming other communities is not. Please consider switching to another term.
Asks, dms, tag games, etc. are welcome! We reply slow AF but every ask makes us happy!
If you need your trigger tagged, let us know! We do not judge triggers. However, we will not do trigger warnings for disability, body types, or reclaimed slurs.
