On Sunday May 22nd 3pm EST we are going to try to trend “SUPERGIRL NEEDS CAT” on Twitter. We want to send the CW a message that Cat Grant is important to the show and to us! This is our only chance.
Don’t have a Twitter? Please make one!
Busy during that time? You can easily schedule tweets ahead of time using tweetdeck.com or futuretweets.com (we have a guide). Use timezoneconverter.com to check your timezone. We also have a countdown clock to help you figure out the time.
For those of you with AM times, the trend is technically on Monday, May 23rd.
Don’t know what to tweet? Tag @thecw in your tweets with the phrase “SUPERGIRL NEEDS CAT” (no hashtag, just the words, no swearing either cause Twitter doesn’t count those towards trends) and tell them what Cat means to you, add gifs/pictures. (If you run out of things to say, just write anything but don’t tag the cw in those random tweets. Whatever you do, don’t stop tweeting.
Want to help even more? Please spread the word on twitter/tumblr/Facebook, tell your friends, and ask them to join. Tell people who aren’t even actively in the SG fandom, who knows? Maybe they’ll help.

Calista Flockhart Project
Hello All!
As you’ve probably heard by now, Supergirl will be moving to the CW for season 2. It has been confirmed by sources that Calista Flockhart will continue on with the show through the move to Vancouver. Now none of us expected this, we expected a move to the CW would mean losing Cat Grant and Calista as part of the cast. But we have been pleasantly proved wrong.
Now before this renewal and moving nonsense started we had discussed doing a letter project for Calista. A scrapbook or binder (based on how many people are interested) of letters or messages written by fans for Calista. These letters would be to tell Calista how much she has inspired, empowered and affected our lives in a positive way. We’ve seen that Calista is the type of person who appreciates discussion of her character (especially because she’s basically admitted she loves Cat Grant), as opposed to just being told that we love her. Our goal is to show her how important she and Cat Grant are to us! :) And we want her to know how happy we are that she chose to stick around even though the show is now filming in Vancouver (which is huge considering she signed on partly cause it filmed in LA).
The letters, if you wish to participate, can be no longer than one printer page. You can simply submit the letters through our tumblr ask or, our email: [email protected]. Each letter will get one page in the scrapbook or binder and we’d like to include a little bubble on the page also including your First Name (or initials/a pseudonym if you’re more comfortable that way) Age and general location (ie. State, Country, something along those lines) to show Calista just how diverse her fanbase is. If you choose to send in a letter we ask you do so by July 17th, as we will be putting the binder together the next weekend. The letters will also be moderated to assure there are no crude or inappropriate comments. We will use complete discretion but there is definitely no judgement and anything you write will not be published anywhere online. It’s just for Calista!
