"Shure 55". 16x20" Acrylic on Canvas. - I wanted to try another still life with a shiny/metallic surface for a challenge, and I had a lot of fun with this one. I've always thought these old microphones were cool and interesting looking. So, why not try to paint one. I thought it would be nice to show the metallic surface of the microphone reflecting the mood of a it's surroundings, with a washed out almost out of focus look.
