Oh my god this has been so long
Embroidered Work by Jose Ignacio Romussi Murphy
Maybe you and your daughter both have thick thighs or wide ribcages. It’s easy to hate these non-size zero body parts. Don’t. Tell your daughter that with her legs she can run a marathon if she wants to, and her ribcage is nothing but a carrying case for strong lungs. She can scream and she can sing and she can lift up the world, if she wants. Remind your daughter that the best thing she can do with her body is to use it to mobilize her beautiful soul.
How To Talk to Your Daughter
Back on my way to amsterdam. Definitely had two really fun and lovely days (and nights) with my boyfriend, i wish it could last longer! When i got back i got sort of sad with it being over and my vacation is over and i have to get back to my lonely dorm, away from my family and (more important) away from my boyfriend. And on top of that i got really scared of failing next course, it doesnt even make sense bc all my grades are really good, partly bc im overly perfectionistic (which is not good either). I hate feeling alone and failing and im not good at coping at all :(
A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the “half empty or half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face she inquired, “How heavy is this glass of water?” The answers called out ranged from 8oz to 20 oz. She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If i hold it for a minute, its not a problem. If i hold it for an hour, i’ll have an ache in my arm. If i hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer i hold it, the heavier it becomes.” She continued, “The stress and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them for a big longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed - incapable of doing anything.” Always remember to put the glass down.

You’ve got to get up every morning with a smile on your face And show the world all the love in your heart The people gonna treat you better, You’re gonna find, yes you will, That you’re beautiful as you feel.
Carole King
For all of the most important things, the timing always sucks. Waiting for a good time to quit your job? The stars will never align and the traffic lights of life will never all be green at the same time. The universe doesn’t conspire against you, but it doesn’t go out of its way to line up the pins either. Conditions are never perfect. “Someday” is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. Pro and con lists are just as bad. If it’s important to you and you want to do it “eventually,” just do it and correct course along the way.
