Catching up on these “Monthly Favourites” doodles for 2016, here’s January! :) 1. Puppycat Slippers: A Christmas gift from my boyfriend, no other slippers will ever compare to these. 2. Alpacasso Plush: Another Christmas gift, literally the cutest thing I’ve ever owned. I need them allllll. 3. Yankee Candles: I got four of these in “Vanilla Cupcake” for Christmas and my home smells glorious. 4. Fan Heater: A spontaneous purchase that stopped us from becoming frozen solid over winter in this drafty apartment. 5. Molly: My mum-in-law got a new Cockapoo puppy who I completely adore. Puppies are the best, THE BEST!!

Hi Tumblr! Long time no see. Here’s an updated self portrait. :)

First off: thank you for all the likes/reblogs/follows in my absence! I'm totally aware that this blog has been a ghost town for the last year or more.

Next month it'll be one year since I started my full time illustration job. I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week making illustrations for educational resources. I work in the actual office which has meant that once I get home I've wanted to socialise, chill and catch up on tv/books/movies more than I've wanted to draw.

This last month or so I've felt super motivated and I've been drawing at home a lot, I've been posting things elsewhere but neglecting tumblr because honestly the app on my phone has been glitchy as hell.  I have a few art posts in my queue to catch this blog up with some of the art it’s missed and I’m aiming to bring this back to life, even if it’s just one post a week.

Life updates

Hey Tumblr! Some life updates for you: In May I finished University with a first class masters degree in animation & 3 weeks later I was lucky enough to bag a full time illustrator job at a local company. I'm one month in & illustrating educational resources for teenagers. I *LOVE* my new job & I'm so happy to be paying the bills through drawing and leaving retail behind. I'll be spending my free time drawing whatever I want now (hooraaaay) and I currently have a bunch of fan art ideas lined up.
