George Buzinkai, composer of Doctor and various other Homestuck music pieces has passed away. (X)

I’m incredibly heartbroken to hear about this. During the first couple years I had gotten into homestuck (2010-2011, may have gone on longer than this) I would suffer from night terrors mainly in the winter. Doctor was a song that helped me through this and soothe my anxiety.

Doctor is also one of the most influential songs in the comic, as samples and remixes of it appear in many, many other songs.

Wait so Featherbent is still a thing?! Is it still going to be Homestuck related/a continuation of what you guys did or do you guys have any other plans?

OKAY so I wanted to run this by @fivetail first and they gave me permission to say it publicly since they’ve been hinting at it on the sly for a while now, Featherbent is indeed still being worked on!

However, it won’t be the same as it once was. Instead, it’s in the process of becoming an original IP/Game!

While we love Homestuck dearly and still connect with those roots, we felt that it was time for a change, taking FB in a fresh new direction.

The original FB Dev team is returning (along with lots of new additions), I’m still playing the lead character and am still the casting director ( @amtrax being another member in the voice cast as you might’ve guessed from his responses to my post though we’re not talking about who he’s playing just yet) and the cast is a mix of new voices and familiar voices playing totally DIFFERENT faces this time around.

We’re working as hard as we can to make it happen, though we can’t give any definitive dates just yet. We can’t thank you guys enough for your patience and can’t WAIT to show you more of what we’ve been working on in due time!

I had the pleasure of doing the cover for the 2018 Homestuck Calendar!

Snapshots of the Rosemary wedding, which is similar to my piece from last year, except this one has 37 characters in it o|-<

Included some close ups of the individual snapshots, because each are basically a full illustration on their own, and I put a ridiculous amount of detail just to cover it up sldkfm

me at 3am: all of Feferi’s attempts to take care of people are shown to be misguided and smothering, particularly where it pertains to large groups (Beforus’s concept of culling, her cuttlefish) and this is true even of her dealings with the horrorterrors to gain the dreambubbles be as a makeshift afterlife, which I was grateful for at first but is analogous to caging her cuttlefish: she keeps them safe, but they don’t have any potential and they’re not supposed to exist like this; I was sad when the dreambubbles were destroyed but it means that after thousands of sweeps - spent suffering for the desperate actions of two Piexes, two Life players, trying at all costs to avoid death, and instead caught forever with recycled versions of their lives flashing before their eyes and incapable of experiencing anything truly new - in double-death (which was only ever death in the first place) the alpha trolls and all those doomed to shorter dreambubble existences with them can finally rest.
