My dad is a die hard Trump supporter, I’m a bisexual poc and I’m not safe living here anymore

 I made a new tumblr because some of my family follows on my main. He’s been getting gradually worse since the election. He believes in all the conspiracy theories, Qanon, the “stolen” election, all of it. We’re not even in America anymore We moved to Canada in December because of his job. I’m 16, a liberal, and a closeted bisexual. Every time I try to share my views or disagree with him he screams at me, takes away my access to food, and lately he’s been becoming violent. He also keeps saying racist things about my mother/his ex wife and by extension, me (yes, his own kid). He want to move back if Trump makes his own political party, and I cannot go with him, I don’t feel safe. I have a friend who will let me move in with him and his roommate but I need money for rent. I’ve been looking for work but no luck yet. Any help is really really appreciated. Even if you can’t donate, please reblog and share. Thank you.

I work at a humane society shelter, and this does happen occasionally. usually cats won’t “steal” the kittens, they’ll hear them crying and stick around and if a momma doesn’t come around they’ll take them somewhere safe and try to care for them

we recently had a very confused lady who called that her cat was trying to take care of an astounding 8 kittens and brought them in

the kittens were obviously malnourished, and we looked around her neighborhood and sadly found the dead mama, she got hit by a car

it’s a really useful thing that cats will do

sometimes the mom will just have gotten lost and will come back to try and find her kittens and so that can be frustrating, but considering how rough it is for stray kittens, it’s a lot better for them to be in a household and cared for where the parent cat can get guareenteed food and shelter

I can’t tell you how many abandoned kittens we find that can’t make it

it sucks a lot

y’know what. i think we need to start validating every single expression of bisexuality. i mean it. if a bi girl claims she has no preference but mainly talks about guys, she’s still bisexual. if a bi guy has only dated men, he’s still bisexual. if someone has a preference, they’re absolutely just as bisexual. also, having no gender preference is absolutely, 100% an expression of bisexuality. when it comes down to it, there is no way to define bisexuality through an individual’s experience. if they are bisexual they are bisexual, no matter how others may see it.
