Dirt || Héloïse & Polly
HĂ©loĂŻse nodded. âI see.â She tried to keep her face neutral, but could not quite stop her eyes from widening when the leaf fell out of her hair. That wasâŠlovely. Still, she should be polite.  After all, at least this girl was aware of her intrusion and seemed to feel bad about it, which was more than could be said for at least half of the other students. And besides, gardening was a nice hobby, even if it wasnât really HĂ©loĂŻseâs cup of tea.
âWhat were you gardening?â HĂ©loĂŻse asked, actually a little bit interested, albeit still somewhat grossed out by the girlâs dirt and stench.
Polly gave a small shrug. âWell usually I try to make sure that the garden is free of any kind of weed. Especially in spring. The amount of weeds I had to pull out today. I filled almost three baskets. And I was only halfway through the gardens then.â She really did hate weeds. Pesky little things.
âAnd after weeding the gardens I planted a couple of rose bushes.â She smiled as she thought of the small rose bushes. âThey are going to grow into beautiful things Iâm telling you. And when the roses are in bloom all that hard work will be worth it.â
